Research Scholars of Physics Dept. DCRUST Murthal participated in the conference and presented their research work under the guidance of Prof. Satish Khasa, Dr Surender Duhan. Prof. Khasa Chaired the sessions and Evaluation of Poster and Oral presentations has been done on optoelectronics and electrode materials for solid state batteries.

Its a produced moment of the department that one of our research scholars Ms Jyoti Dahiya & Mr Rajesh, 2018 batch completed their Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Satish Khasa. Congratulations to Dr. Jyoti and Dr. Rajesh. Their research Title "Study of Structural, Optical & Thermal Properties of Alkaline Phospho-Borate Bioactive Materials" & INVESTIGATIONS OF MIX RARE EARTH ION DOPED ALKALI FLUORO BORATE GLASSES: OPTICAL, STRUCTURAL AND ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES. Their work was recommended for patent by the external experts.
Two days National Conference on Fuctional Materials & Sensors was organised by Physics Department M.D.U. Rohtak on 15th & 16th Feb. 2024. Arround thirty Research Scholar of Physics Dept. DCRUST Murthal participated in the conference and presented their research work under the guidance of Prof. Satish Khasa, Dr Surender Duhan and Dr. Ashok Kumar. Prof. Khasa & Dr. Duhan Chaired the sessions on optoelectronics materials & Sensors and DR. Ashok delivered a oral presentation. Our Research Scholar Ms. Superiya won the best presentation award.
To promote science and technology, National Science Day, 28th Feb. 2024 was celebrated and an open house on 'Women in Science and Technology' was organised at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science andTechnology (DCRUST), Murthal on the occasion of . Around 200 students of various colleges and schools visited the university's laboratories, includ- ing the robotic lab. Vice-Chancellor Prakash Singh inaugurated the event and emphasised that science and technology would play a vital role in this regard and sated that "Everyone should work hard to fulfil this dream".
A poster exhibition based on "Indian traditional science and technology and contribution of scientists" was organised.
Ms. Ayushi, Kartik, and Himansi secured best poster award in the poster exhibition organised by physics department. Prof. Sudhir Batra, Prof. Satish Khasa, Associate prof. DR. Pardeep Singh and Dr. Sumit Malik coordinated the event.
The 2nd International Conference on “Science & Technology for Sustainable Future” ((ICSTSF-2024)) that was held on 7-8, Feb. 2024 at UIET, MDU Rohtak, India. This is my pleasure to state that a researcher and academician from DCRUST has given their scientific contribution which was a valuable addition to the subject, Scientific knowledge. There were five Invited Talk and ten poster presentations. The topic of Invited Talk delivered by professor khasa was “A Study of Lithium Containing Bioactive Glasses for Dental Applications was very meaningful and left a scientific impact of need of Bio active glasses as replacement and restoration of body parts i.e. bone and teeth.
Thank You very much for providing an opportunity as Distinguished Speaker in one-week (Online) Faculty Development Programme on the theme "Recent Advances in Basic & Applied Sciences" organized by Department of Chemistry and Physics along with IQAC, Shyam Lal College, University of Delhi in collaboration with Mahatma Hansraj Faculty Development Centre, Hansraj College, University of Delhi under the aegis of Madan Malaviya Mission Scheme. The talk was delivered on “Development of Bio-Active Materials (Dental & Bone Tissue Engineering Application)”.
The 28th International Conference on Nuclear Tracks and Radiation Measurements (ICNTRM-2023) that was held on 6-10, November 2023 at Gurugram University, Gurugram, Delhi NCR, India. This is my pleasure to state that a team from dcrust has given their scientific contribution which was a valuable addition to the subject, Scientific knowledge. There were two oral and ten poster presentations from the dcrust team. the topic of oral presentation delivered by professor khasa was “A Study of Rare Earth Doped Multicomponent Luminescent Glasses: Materials for Optoelectronic Applications" [Paper Id: 109] was very meaningful and left a scientific impact of need of luminescent glass as white LED which will replace the conversational leds in future in the society.
On 5th Sept. 2023, Teacher’s Day was successfully celebrated by the Department of Physics at DCRUST, Murthal. The students of the MSc final year conducted the event to express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers on this day. All the students had actively participated in the celebration. Students started the program by explaining the significance of celebrating Teacher's day. The teachers were welcomed with flowers. Students gave the tags to the teachers as a token of love. Professor Satish Khasa explained the role of a teacher in a student’s life. A student sang “Saraswati Vandana” in her melodious voice. Professor Pawan S. Rana motivated the students to maintain discipline and dedication towards their goals. The students performed various cultural activities like dance, poem recitation and song. Dr. Monica and Dr. Nidhi addressed the students. The event ended with a vote of thanks by students. Before dispersing the event, all the teachers and students had cut the cake as a part of the celebration.
Raman Physical Society, under the umberalla of Physics Department celebrated Teacher's Day on Sept. 5th 2023. All the faculty members alongwith Students are present on this occusion. and cake cutting ceromany was done.
The Research & Development Cell organized an Induction program for recently admitted Ph.D. Scholars for the session 2023–24 (odd Semester) on September 27, 2023 at 10 AM in the Seminar Hall, Mechanical Block. The presence of Prof. R.C. Noityal, Dean Academic Affairs, Dr. Mahabir Singh Dhankhar, COE, Prof. Suresh Kumar, Registrar, Prof. Rajesh Ponia, M.D.U. Rohtak, Dr. Sudehsh Chaudary, Event Coordinator; and all Research Coordinators of different departments, along with newly admitted students, enhanced the independent thinking of research scholars in different research fields.
In a grand gesture to embrace the newly enrolled postgraduate and undergraduate scholars into the vibrant realm of DCRUST, the academic year 2023–24's orientation program unfolded its splendor on the 6th of October, 2023, meticulously orchestrated by the esteemed Department of Physics. The primary objective of this program was to acquaint our students with both the academic and non-academic dimensions of their academic journey.
The esteemed luminaries who graced this occasion with their presence included the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor S.P. Singh, Prof. Sudhir Batra , Dean of FIST, Professor R.C. Noityal, Dean of Academics, Professor Suman, Chairperson of the Chemistry Department, Prof. Rajni Shukla, Chairperson of the Physics Department, and the revered Faculty members of the Department of Physics. In a poignant and heartfelt gesture, Professor Satish khasa, the convenor of the event, presented a vote of thanks to the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor with a potted plant as a token of deep respect and appreciation. The program culminated on an enthusiastic and patriotic note with the resonant strains of the National Anthem.
The Department of physics organised a cultural program called Physi-fusion 2023 on October 31th, 2023. This lively celebration was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Raman Physical Society, a respected group within the Physics Department. The event showcased a wide range of talents, including captivating dance performances, engaging mono-acts, heartfelt poetry readings, and a unique "Fashion-Disaster" fashion show. The students' remarkable abilities were on full display, leaving the audience in awe. The event began with an uplifting speech by the esteemed Dr Rajni Shukla. Dr. Shukla passionately emphasized the importance of cultural activities in shaping well-rounded individuals. The performances were thoughtfully organized to maintain a continuous atmosphere of excitement. Dr. Satish Khasa, the convener of the Raman Physical Society, delivered an encouraging closing speech. He commended the students for their superb organizational skills and hinted at the promise of more thrilling events in the future. Dr. Ravinder, who played a pivotal role in coordinating the event, earned immense respect from all attendees.
An expert lecture entitled "Application of Luminescent Materials in Optoelectronic Devices: WLEDs" was delivered on 28th April 2023 at 11 am which was organised by Electronics Department, B.P.S. Mahila Vishwavidyalya, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat (Hr.) to celebrate Science Day sponsored by DST Haryana. On this occasion Prof. Vijay Nehra, Director Research, Prof. Priyanka HOD, Dr. Sunil Sangwan, Dean Faculty of Sciences and other faculty members were present. The details of various kind of scholarships offered by DST Haryana and Inspire fellowship of DST New Delhi were also explained.
Some glimpses of inter-district science exhibition at Govt College Sampla, Rohtak on 30/11/2022. Professor Rajbir Singh, Vice Chancellor of MDU Rohtak inaugurated the exhibition. Prof. Satish Khasa, Director of Research DCRUST Murthal, Dr. Sonia Nain DCRUST Murthal, Professor Veenta Hooda and Professor Shalini, MDU Rohtak played the role of judges to judge the exhibits in different areas of science.
It is a proud moment of the department that Ms. Jyoti Dahiya working with Prof. Satish Khasa conferred the Best Poster award at the 66th DAE solid state symposium which was organized by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai held at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi from 18-22 December 2022.
This year nearly 700 participants, delegates from all DAE units, universities, national institutes, and laboratories working in the area of condensed matter physics attended the symposium.
Nearly 300 contributary papers are presented as posters covering various topics.
Ms. Jyoti Dahiya presented a poster titled “ Investigations Of Praseodymium Doped LiF-ZnO-Bi2O3-B2O3 glass matrix for Photonic Applications”. This material has applications in White LED.
DAE SSP series has traditionally been providing a unique interactive forum for scientific discussions amongst scientists, engineers, and researchers in important and emerging topics of condensed matter physics

The Science conclave was organized on 11-14th March 2022 under the Chief-Patron ship of Col. Commandant Prof. (Dr.) Rajendrakumar Anayath (Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor) and the dynamic team of Prof. Dr. Satish Khasa( Convener), Dr Pardeep Singh(Co-Convener), Dr Sumit Kumar( Co-Convener), Dr Dinesh Singh( Co-Convener), Dr Sudesh Chaudary( Co-Convener), in the premises and around Deenbandhu Chottu University of Science and Technology Murthal, Sonepat with the theme: "Integrated approach in science and technology for a sustainable future". The Science conclave was inaugurated by Prof. S. P. Khatkar, Emeritus Scientist MDU Rohtak. Prof. R K Kotnala, FNASc, Chairman, NABL, Prof H S Bhatti Emeritus Scientist, Punjabi University, Patiala.
During the conclave, 10 eminent scientists/researchers/professors on different topics delivered their talks. The students from various schools, block-wise were registered and a promotional kit including a pad, pen, cap, folder specially designed and a Souvenir "science conclave -2022") has been given. Besides this, best five participants of each event in each theme have been awarded a memento, certificate, and a cash prize of 500/-. was given in the Valedictory and Prize Distribution
