The syndrome is named after Dr. Alfred Wiskott, a German pediatrician who first noticed the syndrome in 1937, and Dr. Robert Anderson Aldrich, an American pediatrician who described the disease in a family of Dutch-Americans in 1954.Wiskott described three brothers with a similar disease, whose sisters were unaffected thus confirming that it is an X linked disorder.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma is not usually life threatening but it can be aggressive!
Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the skin is the second most common form of skin cancer, characterized by abnormal, accelerated growth of squamous cells. This a case of a 85 year old female who presented with a swelling on right foot, diagnosed to be cutaneous SCC.
