A positive self-image is having a good view of yourself; for example: Seeing yourself as an attractive and desirable person.

Having an image of yourself as a smart and intelligent person. Seeing a happy, healthy person when you look in.

Mirror exercise on self reflection is a very efficient tool to know your self closely, a conversation starter to define what is ugly and what is beautiful, followed by finding a connection to your body and your mind.

am I successful?
How do I define it ?

Would you say, a mansion, a family, a world tour, money, a relationship, a child...
Well it's subjective.

I know a friend who loves his car so much, maybe that was success, getting his dream car.

I met a couple who were trying to have a baby, in their late thirties. Finally they are parents now feeling complete, they must feel successful now.

Some of us might find completion in the eyes of our dogs, when we get home after a long day at work and they greet you.

Its such a fluid meaning for all of us, how can it have just one definition?

For me it has always been making a difference in one's life, as a friend, as a mentor, as a partner, as a teacher, a brother. Building and nurturing all those relationships.

Every life we come across we exchange some energies that keeps us going forward. Meeting new people, listening to their experiences and sharing a part of our life.

Success for me is to leave behind work that inspires others to make a difference in others life.
It can be through our art, writing, research, dance, music, travel stories, fitness journeys and the list can go on.

Society will say many things, according to it, with only few limited definitions of success.
I don't see how many of others fit in that definition. Age bound goals to earn, buy a house, settle down have a family take responsibilities. Maybe you never wanted to do all that. You did not want to be all that what people want to become...

Is it fair to be a failure then ?

How do you it?
Don't you get tired, or exhausted, wait till you are 30...
Your body will change and your soul too, you will crave solitude and rest, away from loud music and chatty friends.

Is that true?

Am I going to lose my social life at 30, will I no longer want to go out weekends.
Will I have no patience or tolerance for others.
How will I coexist if 30 is my stop to leave this bus.

Well there was a time I watched cartoons and then there was a time I rode bicycle, there was a time I would go to Grandma's for vacation, now I don't.
Just like that maybe 30 will be new life, full of other priorities.

I met someone recently, in their seventies, it was a great get-together. All their grey hair stood up with laughter and joy.

I wondered, what is that, I thought after 30 I will forget to laugh loudly in a room full of people younger than me.
No judgements, no giving life advices, just being yourself at heart and laughing about your life's regrets..

Is it too much to ask, to not act in your age. Innosence is the first to leave the house before you know.
One heartbreak you stop trusting people, one bad job you leave a corporate career, one funeral, one fall out with best friend and it goes on and on.

This lesson called life it gets so hard to learn from, that we forget to be our little selfs. A clean heart and a blooming conscience.

Then one day you turn 30 and you close those remaining doors too....

Where do I belong?

'Which side of the shore do I belong to?' is a question that I had not really pondered upon until I had to switch sides of the same sea that I was a part of for 15 years. Differences in perspective of life when on two opposite courses of the ocean were very prominent in that phase of life when I had begun disputing my identity; "Are my roots the same as theirs?"

“We are waves of the same sea, leaves of the same tree, flowers of the same garden.”
Seneca quoting this is a reminder of how all human beings are a part of the same whole; universe is composed of matter, the only distinction being the shoreline, the thin boundary that separates the ocean from land. Yet, we work our entire lives to acquire labels devised by societal norms that may provide us with the sense of inclusion and security that we are obliged to attain.

For a long time, the cultural disparities least bothered me, probably due to the lack of awareness within the system I grew up in. While my parents, an epitome of the 'Bharatiya sanskriti' instilled their ethics and values within me, the Arab culture that witnessed my growth didn't fail in its attempts to seep through my Indian roots and make a mark of its own. So, what is the need of choosing between the two?

Two months of summer vacation had always brought in wisps of anticipation and joy but, over the years it turned to apprehension; the fear of alienation amidst your cousins and folks treating you like a foreigner in your own homeland. An identity characterized by stereotypes was imposed on me long before I could develop one of my own.

Despite the struggles I faced with a dual identity, attributed to my alliance with the diaspora, I strongly believe that it is this constant battle between self and the other that equipped me with the unprejudiced outlook that helped me find my way through the numerous presumptions that have been set to stone by society.

Why should one let the land they belong to define themselves? It's the waves we decide to ride and the islands we explore that sculpt the sense of belongingness that emerges within us.

Stepping into the realm of adulthood can be both thrilling and daunting. Fresh out of college, I find myself at the precipice of a new chapter in life, searching for opportunities and yearning to carve out my own identity. However, amidst the excitement, a nagging fear of change lingers within me.

Throughout our lives, we become accustomed to familiar routines, comfortable surroundings, and a sense of stability. Change disrupts this equilibrium, challenging us to step out of our comfort zones and face the unknown. As I near adulthood, I am confronted with a myriad of choices and decisions that will shape my future. The weight of these choices, combined with the fear of making the wrong ones, sometimes leaves me feeling paralyzed.

Yet, amidst the fear, there is also a glimmer of excitement and possibility. Change brings with it the potential for growth, self-discovery, and new experiences. It offers an opportunity to shed the skin of who we were and embrace the person we want to become. It is in these moments of fear and uncertainty that we truly find ourselves and realize our potential.

If there is one thing I’ve learned, that is - the fear of change should not deter us from pursuing our dreams and carving our own identities. It is an essential part of life, propelling us forward and shaping us into the individuals we are meant to be. As I near adulthood, I am ready to face the challenges that come my way, knowing that within the fear lies the potential for immense personal and professional fulfillment.

In growing empathy with the surrounding ecosystems.

How small changes can make huge rippling effects as a society. When we go out as a group, we can avoid single use cutlery. It all needs a little adjustment and mindfulness.
We are so happy to see the group abide by our Instructions and get tiffin boxes, like going back to their school days. We had natural streams to wash our boxes and some amazing Pulliogare and Curd rice, which absolutely was a highlight of the day.

We extend gratitude to our participants for cutting down on waste and embracing zero waste concepts.

Memory allows for a kind of mental time travel, a way for us to picture not just the past but also the future. But memory also allows for a seamless living in the present. Most of us have, either occasionally or more frequently, had the unpleasant experience of forgetting something. The episode of memory loss can cause irritation and frustration, as well as a fear that we're "losing it" or losing a sense of self.
