★Today a District Level Mega event on the occasion of World Environment day 2024 held at Patnitop as per the instructions of Project Director Samagra Shiksha UT hosted by Chief Education Officer Udhampur Geetu Bangotra accompanied with Assistant Director Planning Darshan Sharma.Chief Guest of the event was Ajeet Sharma State coordinator, the guest of the honour was District Youth services & Sports Officer Udhampu Raman Kumar Mishra.
The program begins with the inaugural speech of Geetu Bangotra wherein students and staff were motivated and encouraged to follow all the activities of Eco Club summer camps the schedule of which issued by the higher authorities.
The Ajeet Sharma addressed the students with a scientific speech about water resources and their conservation and explained in detail about the theme " Land restoration, desertification and drought resilience" and with message to general public to maximum participation in the world environment day the slogan of which is "Our land ,Our future " .
Shipra the State coordinator of Eco club summer camps in an impressive speech explained in detail to the students about the importance of eco club summer camps and the schedule of activities to be implemented in the schools during these Eco-club summer camp "
Students from ten schools participated in the symposium activity on the theme of world environment day 2024 & expressed their views through symposium on the theme " land restoration, Desertification and Drought resilience" and on the slogan " Our land ,our future".
Pledge on the world environment day was also taken by all the dignitaries and students along with Staff to save the trees and more plantation & with pledge to spread the message to save environment and maximum plantation to save our environment and enhance plantation through civil society and school Staff & students during the ongoing Eco-Club summer camps
Rally was also lead by students along with placards on the theme of world environment day in which Geetu Bangotra appealed the general public to conduct maximum plantation drive of medicinal use plants .
Pledge was also taken by all the officers/Officials and students along with community members to protect the environment and also to aware others to do the same.
At last certificates were also distributed to the students who participated in the symposium activity and cultural programme was also organised on the theme of world environment day.

Today meeting was organised regarding the Nav Bharat Shiksha Karyakram (NBSK) ULLAS under the chairmanship of Chief Education Officer Udhampur Geetu Bangotra which was attended by all the Zonal Nodal officers of ULLAS from eleven Educational Zones and DNO ULLAS Mr.Rakesh Singh and ADNO Jagdish Chander Sharma.
Geetu Bangotra appreciated all the ZNOs for their tremendous work which they have done in the first phase of ULLAS in which 9216 number of non-literates appeared in the First round of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test (FLNAT) 2023-24 against the target of 8483.
" We have to work collaboratively as a team as a mission mode to achieve the 100 percent literacy in district Udhampur under the project ULLAS-NBSK up to 2027" Geetu Bangotra added. Under ULLAS grants released under two installments was utilised as per guidelines for the successful implementation of NBSK in letter and spirit.
Geetu Bangotra said all the ZNOs to conduct the new survey under ULLAS to identify more Non-literates in the zones and also fill the hard copy of registration from through engaging the surveyors at school and cluster level including uploading the same on ULLAS Portal within time limit.
CEO Udhampur appealed the civil society to extend their full cooperation to the surveyors and ZNOs in this mission enabling the district Udhampur to achieve its target of 100 percent literacy.
District level Team of ULLAS was constituted and ZEOs were asked to constitute the Zonal Level team of ULLAS at zonal level in order to strengthen the manpower under ULLAS for successful implementation of the scheme. CEO Udhampur asked to all Zonal Education officers to provide full cooperation and logistics support to ZNO ULLAS at their end so that they shall smoothly prepare the data related to ULLAS and submit to higher authorities well in time.
Today on 24th April 2024 second phase of Prerna Utsav competition was organised at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya,Rakh Jaganoo Udhampur under the supervision of Principal JNV Jaganoo Ajeet Pratap Singh Chief Education Officer Udhampur Geetu Bangotra.
First phase of Prerna Utsav competition was held at School level in which total 3465 students of 130 different schools got registered through Prerna Portal and their screening was done at school level by school evaluation committees in which one boy and one girls students of class 9th to 12th was selected from each school for their further participation at second phase of District Level Prerna Utsav competition.Prerana is driven by a strong commitment to integrate principles of Indian education system and the philosophy of value-based education which is a corner stone of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
In the second phase of Prerna Utsav competition which were held today total 113 students of 64 different schools participated displaying their exceptional abilities in various categories of poem writing, Story telling, Painting contest on the themes displaying their local culture and deep rooted traditions. On the basis of their performance total 15 Boys and 15 Girls were screened by the Evaluating committee members. After the screening and face to face interaction with the selected students one boy and one Girl was finally selected at District level for their visit at Vadnagar, district Mehsana Gujarat Prerna school where they will visit for their experiential learning along with the Es**rt teachers. The selected students who are selected on basis of their outstanding performance are Vishal Kaushal of 12th class from PM SHRI School JNV Jaganoo Udhampur and Anushka from KV No 2 Udhampur.

Chief Education Officer Udhampur Geetu Bangotra along with her team comprised of Assistant Director Planning Darshan Kumar & Others conducted an extensive academic tour of schools falling in jurisdiction of zone Dudu and Zone Chenani in order to assess the problems faced by the students in schools pertaining to different issues especially of shortage of Teaching staff at some far flung schools including HSS Basantgarh .
While interacting with the public of Basantgarh Chief Education Officer apprised them about measures taken by the higher authorities to meet out the deficiency of staff particularly of Senior secondary classes by recruitment of contractual lecturers through Academic arrangement, the notification of which may be published soon in the interest of the students. PRI members and students have presented in detail the problems faced by the students due to shortage of staff and demanded to fill all the vacant posts of Lecturers, Masters and Teachers within a short period of time as the academic session is in its mid period and syllabus is not covered in time bound manner due to deficiency of staff. While in a way team also inspected the ongoing civil works in various Educational Institutions including at HS Marothi and asked the HOI to get the work done as per standard quality and at earliest for the welfare of the students. CEO Udhampur also discussed the issues with the PRI and assured them to extend full cooperation to make fulffil their demands by communicating their needs to higher authorities particularly related to shortage of teaching staff .

The Chief Education Officer Udhampur Smt. Geetu Bangotra accompanied with Assistant Director (E&S) Sh. Darshan Kumar conducted an extensive two days tour w.e.f 27/06/2023 to 28/06/2023 of various schools falling in Zone Chenani & Zone Dudu viz. Hss Sudhmahadev, HSS Jakhed, HS Mantalai,HS Marothi Ms Baishty, Ms Chullyar, MS Chapper including ZEO Office Dudu with aim to assess the academic system & Infrastructure and also to observe the problems being faced by the students and staff in the schools of such far flung institutions.
During the visit officer's interacted with students & staff of the respective schools along with local PRI members and on spot instructions were issued to improve the academic performance of the students as per New Education Policy 2020 as well as to maintain the notebooks of the students & focus on their hygienic cleanliness.
The HOIs with low percentage were also directed to perform their legitimate official duties with dedication and result percentage be got improved from the concerned subject teachers.
The Chief Education Officer also reviewed the progress in distribution of free text books, Uniforms, Scholarship,UDISE +,Samiksha registration,ICT Labs & Mid day meals and also exhorted to public that enroll their childrens in Govt schools to avail the full advantage of all facilities being provided by the Govt.
The construction work of art & craft and Science Lab including three ACRs being constructed under SAMAGRA at HS Marothi were also inspected and instructions were issued to the concerned HOI for getting the work completed within stipulated time frame from the concerned agency and ensure the quality work in the school.

Darshan Kumar visited in various schools of Zone Kulwanta of District Udhampur on 22/06/2023 as a part of surprise inspection and in order to observe various ongoing academic and various other schemes initiated by the higher authorities for the welfare of the students.
They first visited at HSS Keya and inspected the various ongoing Civil works under SAMAGRA and found the school neat and clean and found that the students of the school have achieved the learning Outcomes & staff of the school was also found quite satisfactory in their academic duties.
Then they visited the M. S Katora and H.S Kulwanta where CEO Udhampur interacted with the staff and the student and found some ongoing civil construction works under progress with satisfaction and also found that staff has not fully performed their academic duties with full satisfaction and advised them to improve upon learning outcomes of the students in future.
. Students of HSS Keya also performed some cultural programm related to Nasha Mukt Abhiyan which highly impressed the officers. Appreciation certificates were also distributed to the students for their impressive performance. At last Chief Education Officer exhorted all the staff of the Zone Kulwanta to maintain punctuality, work culture and achieve the academic excellence in the field up to the mark. CEO Udhampur also appreciated the good result achieved by the Educational institution and also asked all those HOI’s to start remedial classes for the students who are unable to cope with the other students and are potential learners and also maintain separate time table for special classes for those students who needs special attention of the Teachers.

Today Worthy Chief Education Officer, Udhampur Smt. Geetu Bangotra visited on the academic inspection at SIKS HSS Boys Udhampur accompanied by Assistant Director Planning, Udhampur Sh. Darshan Kumar during the visit Chief Education Officer Udhampur flagged off the rally on enrollment drive under community mobilization in presence of the staff of school with objective to attract the new admissions in the school.
On the occasion Chief Education Officer Udhampur given message to all the HOI’s of the district to organize the similar enrollment rallies at their respective institution and also aware the general public about various facilities being provided to the government schools students. She also visited the Kindergarten section of the concerned school and monitored the academic performance of the KG Classes where she also interacted with the KG students and is highly satisfied by the management of the KG classes. She exhorted all the HOI’s to utilize all the grants released for the benefit of KG Classes.
She also gave message to all the HOIs running KG classes to make the rooms fully attractive and clean by making all necessary arrangements like Wall paintings, decorative posters. She also appealed to the general public to make full benefit of KG classes and other government schemes by enrolling their children with minimum age of 3+ years and above in the government schools.

Today on 16th March 2023 extensive tour of Worthy Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Shri Ravi Shankar Sharma (JKAS) accompanied by Joint Director School Education Udhampur-Reasi Sh. Dhirendra Sharma (JKAS) , Deputy Director Planning Jammu (DSEJ) Mamta Sharma , Chief Education Officer Udhampur Sh Arvin Kumar Koul and AD Planning CEO Office Udhampur Sh. Darshan Kumar , was held at District Udhampur at Block Chanunta related to administrative inspection of various on - going projects such as construction of buildings, Establishment of Kindergarten and various other initiatives of the School Education Department.
The team first visited HSS Chanunta and inspected the ongoing construction work at Block A of HSS Chanunta and also Block B which was recently inaugurated by Worthy Lieutenant Governor JK UT through VC and handed over to the management of the School for sitting of class from new academic session.
At GHSS Chanunta Director School Education Jammu addressed the public gathering and stressed on the importance of education and advised to implement various schemes on the ground for the welfare of the students by involving community mobilization. DSEJ also appreciated Chief Education Officer Udhampur for his dedicated efforts which he puts for the welfare of students and Teaching community.
Inauguration of Kindergarten was also done by the Worthy Director School Education Jammu, in the premises of GMS Patli, GMS Bhugterian, GMS Chanunta, and GMS Nagrota & GMS Sansoo and dedicated the said KG Classes to the students of Pre- Primary Classes from the new academic session 2023-24. The officers stressed on the importance of KG classes/Pre-Primary classes as it is the foundation of learning and also KG classes are basic foundation for the children as per NEP 2020.
The Concerned officers also visited to the HSS Garhi, where they inspected the remodeling of the infrastructure of the school which was under construction at the cost of Rs eight Crore under the agency of PWD R&B Udhampur
The team also made administrative inspection in various other schools including MDM, examination centers and self defence training, School safety &security and highly satisfied with the its implementation on the ground.
