Is the section troubling you?
Some issues that you may be facing:
- You think you are weak at quant
- You haven’t studied quant (at this level) for a long time
- You don’t understand how to approach data-sufficiency questions
- You perceive quant questions to be based on very complicated concepts
- You believe memorizing formulae will help
Solutions:
- Learn the basic concepts of quant
- Master the strategies for data sufficiency questions
- The quant section is more logical than you think it is. You should know not only the concepts but also the tricks and strategies to solve faster
- You should know how to calculate fast (without a calculator)

We're often asked the mantra behind our success rate - candidates, irrespective of their academic background, being able to ace their target exams.
And, to everyone's surprise, the mantra we have been following has been pretty simple from the start - small batch size, interactive sessions on the curriculum with the best mentors, fool-proof & best proven programmes, non-judgemental doubt clearing sessions, and above all, the determination to pin your goal.
Be it CAT, GMAT, GRE, or SAT & ACT, to turn your dream career into a reality under the tutorship of best faculty members, send us an email at [email protected]

What is a percentile?
Percentile is representative of the percentage of scores that a particular score surpassed.
For example, let's assume, in a test, there are 200 students. The test is out of 40 marks;
you score only 20 marks, but end up being the highest scorer
So, your score percentage is 20/40 * 100 = 50%
However, since out of 200 people, you are better than 199 people, your percentile is 199/200 x 100 = 99.5
In the GMAT, Q51 translates to roughly 97+ percentile in the quant section
Similarly, in the CAT, 50% marks translates to roughly 95-99 percentile depending on the difficulty level of the test!

Relatable much?
We don’t know who needs to hear this, but we’ve all been through this. The resemblance between each of the 4 options can challenge and scare even the brightest of minds! The only solution to this is to ace your preparations like a pro, have confidence in yourself on your exam day, and keep your mind cool (the image is a joke, but this is a 100% valuable suggestion)

While, during your preparation, you will come across mantras on what to do, we'll spill some beans & tell you what NOT to do.
Experts say that while most QA questions have a trick element to test your understanding (and patience), it is of utmost importance to not fall into their trap.
The easiest way to do this is by NOT making assumptions.
For example, let's take this question:
What is the least integer value of (x+y), if x > 7 and y > 8
The most common mistake will be to take x = 8 and y = 9, thereby giving (x+y) = 17
The twist here is, (x+y) is an integer, while x and y individually may not necessarily be integers. So, choosing x = 7.1 and y = 8.9 would be a better option, thus giving a smaller value of (x+y) = 16.

The is going online and will be computer adaptive (like the ), possibly from 2023. The duration will also in all likelihood be reduced to 2 hours (from 3 hours). Testing will NOT be done at-home.
On the Math, the non-calculator section won't be there. Similarly, long reading passages with banks of related questions won't be there; instead there will be short passages with one question per passage.
Making a test adaptive makes it more reliable and accurate. Hence, the duration can be shortened. This is definitely a great move that's going to benefit the students. Add to that the advantage of getting the scores faster!
