CASE OF THE DAY

"Dens Invaginatus"

A malformation of teeth originating from an anomalous infolding of the enamel origin into the dental papilla. Involvement of root may be the result of an invagination of Hertwig's epithelial root sheath.
Occuring most commonly in maxillary lateral incisors.
Radiographically seen as an inverted tear- shaped radiolucency with a radiopaque border, crown appears malformed and apical foramen is usually wide.
Management includes prophylactic restoration in the defect if any.

"World No To***co Day", is celebrated all over the world on 31st May every year. The theme for this year was " Protect the environment " meaning we should encourage the users to quit the use of to***co to make the environment healthy.
The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Swami devi dyal hospital and dental college, celebrated " World No To***co Day " on 31st May 2022, with the aim of educating the students and patients about the ill effects of to***co both to the body and the environment.
Beautiful rangoli was made by our talented students & Quiz competition was held in the department, under the guidance of Dr. Sanjay Chachra ( Principal) , Dr. Nisha Dua ( Professor and Head), Dr. Rajesh Gupta, Dr Abhilash Malhotra and Dr. Nirvana Yumnam
