Color theory and Colour Schemes are a practical combination of art and science that's used to determine what colors look good together.The color wheel is the basis of color theory, because it shows the relationship between color.
Interior Design Students understood the color wheel and color harmonies (what works, what doesn’t and how color communicates) and made drawings for the same.

Evening wear began its evolution in the royal courts of 15th century Europe. The more elaborate the clothing, the higher the rank. The most opulent clothing was reserved for royalty and nobility. As trade expanded and methods of spinning and weaving evolved, rich textiles such as silk became more broadly available.

An evening gown is a special form of dress that amplifies a woman's femininity and often proclaims her desirability. In general, necklines are low, bodices are tightly fitted, arms are bared, and skirts are extravagantly designed. Fabric surfaces vary from reflective to matte, textured to smooth, and soft to rigid.

Students researched & presented various topics like -Resort wear, bohemian clothing etc.

They presented the indepth research like fabrics used, techinques of embellishments used, accesories that prevail & color & styling tips.

These presentations help understand the designers the requiremnts of certain style & help them design new collection in more authentic yet new manner.

Indian embroidery includes a wide variety of regional embroidery styles varying by different
regions and materials used.

Embroidery is India’s persistent eloquent tradition. Every state
and region in India enjoys its own style. Needlework is not the only means of decorating the
fabric but the fabrics are also embellished by stories of the community, with motifs emerging
from natural surroundings, religious inscriptions, economic state, etc.

Fabric painting is a skill of applying colors on the fabric to make it attractive which is very exciting experience. Painting techniques make stunning creativeness which is made by the depth of hue and shades or the creativity of the textures formed.

Fabric painting can be used to decorate everything from clothing to home furnishings like curtains and tablecloths.

It opens all sorts of possibilities for creative expression, allows you to create unique one-of-a-kind works of art. Our 1st year students created few designs in the Introduction session of Fabric Painting.

The word optical is used to describe things that relate to how we see. Students haved used shapes and patterns in creative ways to create images that look as if they are moving or blurring.
