The message was that we won't stop with giving tuitions, teaching English digitally and training of computer essentials. Worthy students will learn computer programming and verbal communication in English also. Developing mental faculties and career counselling are two of our priorities, we concluded.

"A Memorable Journey with ABHEDA ENGLISH ".........
Jewel Gharami, an Abheda scholarship holder since 2012
Once Swami Vivekananda said, "If the poor boy cannot come to education, education must go to him".Abheda Foundation has been trying to implement this idea everywhere for last ten years. Here I have tried to explore one of these deeds. My memories of those past days are still vivid because I was one of those six students who got the chance first to learn how to read and write english correctly through digital media like tablet. Honestly I had no idea how to make a simple sentence in english in my early days of high school. Before being familiar with Abheda English Course I tried my level best to understand the differences between tense and voice but I couldn't . It's always hard to get a good english teacher in remote areas now and then .I think It was 2012 when I got selected for Abheda scholarship and we started our journey together like an extended family. It's my fortune that I got the chance to be familiar with those great souls who are wholeheartedly connected to Abheda to make this journey more comfortable and prosperous .Let's get back to my journey with Abheda how I learnt english .I acquired all the basic concepts about parts of speech ,articles ,prepositions, tense , voice , narration, participles, gerunds , infinitives, phrasal verbs, classification of sentences through joyful learning tools like pictures, quizzes ,puzzles, make sentences , translations digitally . I can't evaluate myself that how much I know English . But if I write a single correct sentence, credit goes to Abheda Foundation . Having Abheda Foundation in our society is full of blessing for needy students . It's a sad news but it's true that in our Village even the class topper can't write proper english although he or she is meritorious enough to solve the toughest math problems . When english becomes the only medium of learning in higher studies, they lose their momentum . For all these reasons undoubtedly Abheda's contributions mean a lot in our lives. Sorry if anything sounds odd. Happy ending.

Abheda Foundation Appeals to You
-----------------------------------------------
You might have noted that most of my recent posts on my FB profile relate to the junior family members of Abheda. With loads of care and affection, we are making them grow as responsible citizens of India. We trained them up in Communicative English, taught them computer operations, and are bearing their educational expenses for long. We also inspire the students in several aspects of life.
This is not a short process. Nor is this a job of one individual. We have some sponsors and volunteers without whom we could not have come to this stage. But now that most of our students are grown-ups, we need more funds to support them. So here is an appeal to you to join hands with us.
Thanks and Regards,
Biswajit Mitra

Abheda Foundation feels proud for Mijanur Molla, who has been an Abheda scholarship holder since 2012...
He is different from most students, possessing an insatiable urge to learn...
By the way, before he joined the bachelor course, he just knew that there was a word called 'computer'...Spotting his analytical skill early, we nudged him to the Computer Science stream...and he studied in a college in Kolkata staying at Abheda's office.

Abheda Foundation - Serving the Deserving
-----------------------------------------------------
It was on 20th March 2012 that we set forth our journey. In the beginning, we needed a platform to work on. Tarunda, one of the most well-meaning persons that I have met, gave us that platform. With his assistance, we could flap our wings quickly and lightly at Canning Subdivision. Swami Vivekananda Scholarship Program culminated. Presently, the program supports 75 students from Canning, Jhargram, Jalangi, Tripura, and Kolkata. There are students from the 2012 batch whom we give assistance till today. We pledge to stand by all of them before they stand in life.
To make the rural students come to speed in quick time, in 2016-17 we developed two apps to teach English - Abheda English and English CourseTutor. They are available free on Google Play Store. Their user feedback appears to be reasonably favourable.
To induce an all-round development in the rural and suburban students, in 2017-18 we opened two digitally-equipped schools at Jalangi and Jhargram under the brand name of Abheda eSchool. We follow the man-making principle of Swami Vivekananda here as yoga, music, computer education, meditation, and value inculcation are part of our curriculum. The schools, having had ups and downs all the time, are running with a moderate number of students present.
We take this opportunity to thank all of you who had helped us directly or indirectly. Without your support, we cannot be here,

Abheda Foundation
procures a land at Jhargram
for Abheda eSchool
Here are some pearls from Abheda Foundation...
An Appeal
-------------
Abheda Foundation has recently bought a piece of land (4 cotta) at Jhargram for constructing a new building for Abheda eSchool. The present school is hosted on a rented premises. We are through with the registration and mutation of the land.
Now is the time for the following:
a) Making a floor plan and arranging for its sanction at the municipality
b) Constructing a foundation suitable for 3 floors and subsequently one floor for the building
We need to complete the process before the monsoon sets in...
We request you to kindly extend your helping hand and donate generously. We will soon get a rough-cut estimate for the said construction.
PFA is a futuristic model of the proposed Abheda eSchool, Jhargram...
Pritye Das, an Abheda scholarship holder since 2017, is now employed as a trainee radiographer technician at Zephyr Hospital in Kolkata.
After graduating from Calcutta University with high first class marks in Sociology (Hons), she now pursues a certificate course from George Telegraph, but then she has got this job side by side as a trainee.
As per her employers, she is handling responsibilities with utmost professionalism. They say, she has an urge to learn.
We wish her all success in her career and life...
He is Sankar Das, our all-in-all at Jhargram. Sankar manages our Abheda eSchool there.
Courtesy Sankar, we could manage to provide some relief to 2000 families forced to live at the subsistence level during the two lockdowns in 2020 and 2021. This included lepers, people at poverty-stricken Amlashol, marginalized Adivasis. Remember, he traveled to the distressed to distribute relief.
Funding is only a minuscule part of relief work, whereas, without Sankar's persistent effort, we could not have possibly executed such a large and riskful program efficiently.
Next time, we will talk about Sougata, our volunteer at Jalangi in Murshidabad.
Felicitating a new member from Canning...in 2017
To new joinees, we award a certificate, a cap with the Abheda logo, a digital tablet with Abheda English and English CourseTutor in it and a memento with Swami Vivekananda's saying...and loads of love.
The journey began with 48 scholarship students being awarded digital tablets in 2014...
Abheda Foundation releases 'Elephants and Horses of My IT Life'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The period dates back to 1990-2001 (12 years). The world of software then looked unreal to the common people of India - full of myths, q***r, virtual, yet a pathway to pleasure and comfort. To the external world, it was already an esteemed profession. They could sense, the software would thrive. They could also comprehend that India, transcending the periphery of spirituality, was fast becoming the residence of a huge worthy working class, a monster in the making. It was no longer only a haven for the aged religious mass but also graduating to a workplace of spirited youth. To the software workers, how was the profession ? It was once commonly said, failed writers take to journalism. Likewise, the best of the best students did not adorn the software. Rather, the second and third ranks were destined to rake the occupation. Their flight was sparkling nonetheless. This was the time when software had not become IT. Here enters the author - in Kolkata. The cultural capital was not even on the software delineation till such time. There begins the fun. The genial writer, pickled in love for people, essays his experience with the populace, software, and travel. The reader may look for an incessant flow of anecdotes in crispy Bengali 'Adda' style - some humorous, some satirical, some scaring, some scurrying.
In all likelihood, this book is the first attempt to portray the history of IT in Bengali.
