This association was set up by ex-students of konnagar high school during the celebration of tar-centenary of its foundation in 2004. The association calls every ex-student to join and suggest ways and means to uphold the cause of quality education for the present generation students. The activists of the association invite your comments for ensuring better ambiance in the classroom, library, laboratory and so on.

After the gruesome pandemic panic and pain of missing the warmth of physical association, we have contemplated to hold a social gathering of members in the month of September 2022. The day will be Sunday or Saturday as convenient to as many willing participants. Please let us know your piece of mind about this program.

This is an important message to all my friends and well-wishers. As you all might know that I had been actively trying to build the Shib Chandra Siksha Bhaban,a school of 42 years standing and reputation as a modern educational hub of Konnagar. I joined the school after retirement from LIC as a volunteer with an assignment as Head Master. Today I have been physically assaulted by a group of local political hooligans led by Asit Chakravoty(Bebo) TMC town President at the school while holding a meeting with guardians in an information sharing programme. The development scheme of the school was being shared with them in the meeting. Suddenly they got into the meeting and hurled abuses by snatching the microphone and started provoking the guardians with all concocted bu*****ts. As you all know that I have been a passionate lover of education who was sincerely trying to work for the cause of education through Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal(since 1975), Alumni Associations of different local Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools of Konnagar and Nabagram. My contribution was being acknowledged by the common beneficiaries across the people of locality. This appeared to be a threat to the vested interests who had been looking for monetary gains out of the development projects relating to the school. They have today forcefully compelled me to sign upon an already drafted resignation letter in my name. This unlawful elements had been trying to interfere into the development projects for quite sometime with the object of grabbing the school properties and management of the school. I think this should be shared by all good people who support the cause of education and building up an educated generation in the locality and thereby build a good society in the long run. This should go viral across the spectrum and needs to be known by the people around the world.

On the occasion of Founder’s Day , the birthday of Mahatma Shibchandra Deb, as in every year on 20July,2014, Sunday,at 7 AM, we, the Alumni shall assemble at the front side lawn of our school premises in the programme drawn by Konnagar High School.

Next at 9AM, we shall join at the feet of Shibchandra Deb statue near the Konnagar Station Road junction in a programme drawn by Konnagar Municipality.

Next in the evening at 5pm, we shall participate in a Seminar titled “Radhanath Sikdar – His contribution in our national pride”, to be held at SHIBCHANDRA SIKSHABHABAN, Hatirkul(G.T.Road) Konnagar. This programme is at the behest of ‘Shibchandra Charchakendra’ an arm of Konnagar High School Alumni Association launched in 2011, in the wake of celebrating the bicentenary of Shibchandra Deb.Under this Charchakendra it has been resolved to hold seminars on other luminaries of 19th century, particularly,the contemporaries of Shibchandra and the Derozians.

We make it a point to invite you in all such occasions and would request you to pass on this invitation to all your friends and relatives who might be eager to join.
