The Shocking Summary:

I was terrified with my current interaction with the General Manager of MP Birla Foundation Higher Secondary School (probably some singh).
We simply expected a discussion/treatment with care and understanding as the matter is related to his little ex-student.
However, the severely abusive and disrespectful behavior of this guy makes me think that he was expecting some money/bribe/donation for himself.
He refused to even hear out after 5 minutes of talk and came down to his rotten behavior.
Probably, this guy was atleast quick enough to realize the following:
1) Concern is straightforward because of the PANDEMIC
2) We are ONLY talking as per LOGIC (seemed too much for this guy)
3) No chance of making money??

Also, the way this guy spoke about Rights To Education (RTI) and other government bodies responsible for Indian Education System and Grievances, it made me
feel those are in his pocket (probably bribed???).

Looks like MP Birla has lost the VISION of their prominent leaders and turned EDUCATION into sheer BUSINESS and MONEY MAKING (the backdoor way).
I have written to various people to whom this might be a concern and am waiting to hear back from them.
It saddens me to see how the future of our children can lie on such poor hands.

The Best Part:

This shocker helped me decide never to re-admit our child (or rather anyone) here.
I could realize, how sorry i should be that I had sent my kid to this school for 4 years. This also gave me the opportunity to interact with various other GM's of other
schools and i am surprised by their behavior, that is exactly opposite to this guy. Thanks that this incident happened before the kid is a grown up
as I feel PROUD that I will never have to send my kid to this school again.

The Pandemic and Complete Story:

My son was studying in MP Birla Senior Secondary School, James Long Kolkata till Class 4 till 2019. On March, 2019 we had to relocate to Sweden due to our Jobs.
We took proper documents from MP Birla for the transfer.
Since then, my son was studying in Class 4 in Sweden as per their education system i.e. Class 4 in Sweden = Class 5 in India (please google out).
However, due to COVID and job market changes, we had to return back to India in November 2020.
We have proper documents for transfer again from the Swedish School.

So after returning to India, we contacted the school for readmission and requested to consider him for the current session which is Class 5.
To this, the school mentioned that since only the last term of Class 5 is left they cannot admit him.
We understood and this made some sense to us.

Then we requested for the procedure to admit him to Class 6 in the next academic year ie 2021.
In reference to this, the school mentioned that the admission criteria is that we have to produce the Completion Certificate of the previous class for
admission into the next class.
This is not possible as Class 5 is still in session to which admission is not possible as per them.

In fact, after several email exchanges and the 5-Minute talk with that guy, he suggested to start over from Class 4 again.

I remember, my son used to love MP Birla while he was studying.
It breaks my heart to tell him that the school he loved doesn’t care about him.
