Chaturanga 2022 R1-4: Aronyak, Koustav, Subhayan, Srijit and Arpan make a perfect start 4.0/4

The newly crowned West Bengal State Rapid and Blitz champions - Subhayan Kundu and IM Aronyak Ghosh, IM Koustav Chatterjee, IM Srijit Paul and Arpan Das won all four games on the first day of CHATURANGA : Inter-Alumni Chess Tournament 2022.

Both Aronyak and Koustav arrived from the practicals of their respective class 12 board exams to play this tournament. Reigning National Junior champion IM Neelash Saha who is also a Nava Nalanda Alumni is taking part in this event. The participation of a GM and 4 IMs among 88 players certainly makes it a stellar lineup and strong field.

One of the highly anticipated match between the top seed GM Mitrabha Guha and IM Neelash ended in an exciting draw which drew applause from the present alumni spectators.

The tournament is organized by Nava Nalanda Alumni Association and NN Group of Schools at Nava Nalanda School.

There is no entry fee in this tournament which makes it the first open event in Kolkata, West Bengal to have no entry fee since 2013. That's not all. Total cash prize fund is ₹36000 along with trophies, certificates, mementoes, gift hampers and more. First prize is ₹10000.

করোনার জেরে থমকে গেছে সবকিছুই। করোনার আতঙ্ক গ্রাস করেছে দুর্গাপুজোকে। কিন্তু বাঙালির উন্মাদনাকে কে ঠেকাতে পারে? তাই অন্যরকমভাবে এবং নতুন উদ্যোগে শহরে দিকে দিকে পালিত হচ্ছে অন্যরকমভাবে দুর্গাপুজো। এক্ষেত্রে ব্যতিক্রম নয় নব নালন্দাও । গত পাঁচ বছর ধরে পঞ্চম থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণীর ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের নিয়ে স্কুল কর্তৃপক্ষ পুজো পরিক্রমা আয়োজন করে আসছে যার পোশাকি নাম 'আমাদের চোখে সেরা দুগ্গাপূজো'। বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক, শিক্ষিকা ও ছাত্র ছাত্রীরা শহর ও শহরতলীর বিভিন্ন পূজা মন্ডপ ঘুরে সেরা পুজোর বিচারে পুরস্কার দেন। কিন্তু এ বছর তা কীভাবে করা হবে? অবশ্যই তা হচ্ছে অনলাইনে 'নব রবি কিরণে' নামে অ্যাপের মাধ্যমে। ছাত্রছাত্রীরা তাদের পছন্দের পুজো গুলিকে ভোটের মাধ্যমে বেছে নিচ্ছে। দেড়শর বেশি পুজো কমিটি এই উদ্যোগে সামিল , তারা নাম নথিভুক্ত করেছে। অ্যাপের মাধ্যমে ভিডিও দেখে মন্ডপ ও প্রতিমার ছবি দেখে চুলচেরা বিচার এর মাধ্যমে পুরস্কার দেওয়া হবে। এমনকি অ্যাপের মাধ্যমে সরাসরি সম্প্রচারিত হবে পুজো মণ্ডপ থেকে অঞ্জলি, আরতী এমনকি সন্ধিপুজোর মতন আচার অনুষ্ঠান গুলি, সম্প্রচারিত হবে পুজো মণ্ডপ থেকে সরাসরি। পুজোর আড্ডা ভার্চুয়ালি একইরকম ভাবে ধরে রাখার নব নালন্দা এহেন উদ্যোগকে সাধুবাদ।
