25th April 2024 we visited Amity University, Kolkata Campus to conduct a Seminar on Branding and Packaging in collaboration with MSME DFO Kolkata. Our main objective was to promote the PGDP Course. There were around 80 Students 8-10 Faculty Members and 20 Members from different SHGs of West Bengal who attended this Seminar. The Inaugural Speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Sanjay Kumar - Vice Chancellor of the University. Announcement for the admission of Two Years Full Time Post Graduate Diploma in Packaging Technology Programme (PGDP) at Indian Institute Packaging, Kolkata, Mumbai and Ahmedabad for AY 2024-2025.
The Institute has been conducting the two year’s Post Graduate Diploma Programme (PGDP) for the last 39 years at Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad. More than 3700 skilled professionals trained by the Institute are serving for the leading FMCG companies in India and abroad in the senior position. We are now happy to inform that this year the 40th Batch of the PG Course will start from 1st August, 2024 at our regional Centre at Kolkata. Packaging Technology is new branch of Career Progression. Indian Institute of Packaging, Kolkata Centre An autonomous Body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The Activities

The Team of CII, Kolkata office Visited Indian Institute of Packaging Kolkata Centre on 16/04/2024 for discussions and collaboration between the organisations for conducting Training Program on Packaging. Hope there will be Training Program conducted very soon accross the State of West Bengal on Packaging jointly by the Organisations.

On 18th April 2024 we visited the Garhbeta College, West Medinipur for conducting a Seminar on Career Opportunities and Prospects in Packaging. A MoU was also signed between IIP Kolkata and Garhbeta College for Collaboration and conducting Training rogram and Research Projects. Me, Dr. Nilay Kanti Pramanik and Mr. Ashok Dutta, Marketing Head (East) , Vishakha Poly Fab Industries Pvt Ltd, Alumni of PGDP 2nd Batch Visited the College. We Visited Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur on 29th March 2024 for conducting a Seminar on Career Opportunities and Prospects in Packaging. The Seminar was attended by the Final Year B.Sc. and B. A. Students. We are thankful to Swami Ekachittananda Maharaj for making the arrangement and allowing us to conduct the Awareness Seminar at RMRC, Namendrapur.

Few moments of the Seminar on the Career Opportunities on Packaging for Promotion of PGDP Course at the Panskura Banamali College, East Midnapur District , West Bengal on 27th March 2024 . Around 75 Students from the different Streams of B.Sc Final Year and M.Sc students attended the Seminar along with few Faculty members of the College. The Chemistry Department was instrumental in organizing this Seminar.

Today IIP-Kolkata Inaugurated the Three Months Certificate Course in Packaging for the Director General Resettlement (East) Zone for the Indian Army Officials under the Resettlement Scheme. Total 18 Army Officials from different cadre and zone who are going to retire from their services within next one year have registered for the course. We are happy to provide services to the Indian Army.

IIP-Kolkata successfully conducted a two days Training Programme on “Testing and Quality Evaluation of Packaging Materials & Packages” at IIP-Kolkata between 21-22 March 2024. Total 38 Participants all over the country were registered and attended The Training. The Inaugural session was conducted in the presence of Mr. P. Dasgupta - Past Regional Chairman and Member of Regional Chairman, Mr. Milan Dey - Regional Chairman and MD, Madan Packaging Private Limited and Mr. Subhadip Basu - Scientist - F, Director of BIS Laboratory, Kolkata.

IIP - Kolkata is going to organize the 2 days Training Programme focused on Testing of Packaging Materials. The 2 days Training Programme on "Testing and Quality Evaluation of Packaging Materials and Packages" has been scheduled between 21-22 March 2024 at IIP-Kolkata Campus.

The training Aims to enhance our proficiency in Quality Control, specifically assessing packaging materials.

Three Days Training Programme on Packaging of Tea for the Small Tea Growers of Wokha District, Nagaland was conducted by IIP-Kolkata. The Training was sponsored by Tea Board Regional Office Golaghat and supported by the Wokha District Entrepreneurship Task Force Cell. Around 35 Small Tea Growers of Wokha District attended the Training Programme.

IIP Kolkata conducted a 3 Days Hands on Training Program and Exposure Visit to Food Processing and Packaging Industries under the PMFME Scheme for the MSME Entrepreneurs of Sikkim in collaboration with the Department of Commerce and Industries ( MSME Department) between 22 24 January 2024 at Indian Institute of Packaging Kolkata Centre. 35 MSME Entrepreneurs of Sikkim and 4 Officials of the MSME Department Govt. of Sikkim attended the Training Program.

IIP-Kolkata participated and delivered lecture on “Packaging for Exports” in Capacity Building Programme under the NIRYAT Bandhu Scheme organised by the DGFT in association with the PHDCCI- WB Chapter on 02.01.24 in Kolkata.

MoU was signed between Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) and Arunachal Pradesh Industrial Development and Financial Corporation Ltd (APIFDCL), A Statutory body under Government of Arunachal Pradesh at the IIP Kolkata Center on 4th December 2024 as a knowledge Partner. The main objective of this MoU is that IIP will provide support to Arunachal Pradesh Industrial Development and Financial Corporation Ltd (APIFDCL) in providing Training Program on Packaging related matters and will help in Packaging Design and Development.

One Day National Workshop on Packaging and Design was Organized by MSME DFO, Kolkata Centre in Association with IIP-Kolkata at the Multipurpose Hall. 120 nos. of Participants attended the Workshop.

Few Moments of the Bengal Global Business Summit - 2023 in the Sectorial Session on 22nd November 2023. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) Kolkata Centre with West Bengal Handloom and Handicraft Development Corporation (MANJUSHA) and Department of MSME and Textile (MSME &T), Govt. of West Bengal.

Today commenced the 3 days Training Program on Packaging of Tea for the Small Tea Growers, Bot Leaf Factories and Estate Factories of Tripura at Agartala, Tripura at the Conference Hall of Gitanjali Tourist Lodge, Kunjaban, Agartala in association with Tea Board Regional Officer, Agartala.

Six Days Hands-on Training Programme and Exposure Visit on “Packaging of Dairy and Food Products” for the UG/PG Student & Faculties of West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Science (WBUAFS) Kolkata in Association with Faculty of Dairy Technology,(WBUAFS), Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal under the aegis of ICAR-World Bank funded NAHEP (Innovation Grant) Project was Conducted by Indian Institute of Packaging, Kolkata Centre during 6th - 11th November, 2023 at IIP-Kolkata Block-CP-10, Sector-V, Salt Lake, Bidhan Nagar, Kolkata- 700 091. Some moments of the Inaugural (06-11-2023) and Valedictory (11-11-2023)ceremonies are being shared.

IIP-Kolkata successfully conducted a Two Days Capacity Building Training Programme on “Packaging for Export of Food and Handicraft Products of Nagaland ” which was Sponsored by MSMEDFO-Dimapur, Government of India, Ministry of MSME under PMS Scheme during 27th and 28th September 2023 at Lotha Hoho Community Centre, DC Office Road, Wokha, Nagaland in association with the Wokha District Entrepreneurship Task Force (ETF), Government of Nagaland. IIP-Kolkata conducted the Four Days TOT (Train the Trainers) Model Training Programme for the Officials of the Assam State Rural Livelihoods Missions Project (ASRLM) in collaboration with the North East Handicraft and Handloom Development Corporation (NEHHDC) and ASRLM at Guwahati between 30th August to 2nd September 2023. 36 Officers from the different Districts of Assam attended the TOT Training Programme.The programme was well covered by the Press and Media also. Around 400 participants were imparted Training on Packaging of the Top Five Products of Assam in 4 days.

Indian Institute of Packaging has extended the last date of application for its Flagship Program Two Years Post Graduate Diploma in Packaging course. The second round of entrance examination is scheduled on 30/07/2023 (Sunday). Interested candidates can apply for the same and walk in for submission of application form and appear the Entrance Examination on coming Sunday i.e. 30/07/2023.

Indian Institute of Packaging announces the 2nd Round of Admission Test for its Post Graduate Diploma in Packaging for the 39th Batch on 30th July 2023.
