Dear Readers and Contributors,

We are glad to announce that going forward, our magazines will be available in print and pdf. To facilitate easier release, maintenance and reading facility for all, we have shifted to a biannual release schedule. Physical copies shall be printed on demand. Currently, we follow a "no-charge, no-pay" policy at Golden Cauldron. We believe this will be the best option for all parties involved, after careful consideration of several internal and external factors.

Our 10th issue will be releasing in the month of October/ November 2021.

Once again, we cherish you and thank you for your continued support towards Golden Cauldron Literary Magazine.

After a hiatus of 2 months due to unavoidable circumstances, Golden Cauldron Literary Magazine is back with its 10th Issue. We invite you to pen down your thoughts and colour your canvases, and join us in making this issue one to remember. The issue is scheduled to release on 11th July, 2021. It has been 6 months since our first issue was released. The goal was to build a community of literary minds (both contributors and readers) and to enable a healthy exchange of wits and creativity. And thus far, the vision seems to have only grown clearer. It has been a warm half-year (during and post lockdown) with all your love and support. And we seek more for the family.

'Bangamohilar Japan Jatra/ A Bengali Lady’s Journey to Japan: Discourses Around the Text' by Dr. Madhurima Mukhopadhyay

Bangamahilar Japan Jatra is the first travelogue on Japan by a Bengali lady. This article explores how this journey was undertaken and an unusual event of marriage and migration in early twentieth century colonial Bengal as exemplified by Hariprabha Mullick Takeda and her husband Uemon Takeda.

After spending nine months inside a dark womb, when a child is born, the world seems ambiguous. Coming to the final month of 2020, apart from celebrating Christmas, as we recollect our ‘past life’, we can only feel a prolonged deadly silence. Witnessing immense losses is indeed a hard pill to swallow. We are still in a state of disbelief.
