World Earth Day, is celebrated every year on April 22nd to support and protect the environment. We encouraged the Students and the Teachers to wear GREEN as Green is the fresh emblem of well founded hopes. This day reminds us of our duties towards 'Mother Nature '.
The students of Mother Mary Public School ensured their peer and family members were educated about the importance of protecting our Earth, using the medium of Art. They spoke of the gratitude we have towards our Mother Earth for its priceless gifts for all mankind. That the planet Earth is an amazing place to live in, but it needs our help to thrive! Let us all extend our help and support the motive of this day, to protect our planet from things like pollution and deforestation.

Rubella and Measles Virus.
Virus that has been there with us from decades but people don't acknowledge the virus very often.
The disease can spread through direct contact with the saliva or mucus of an infected person or through the air by respiratory droplets produced from coughing or sneezing.
Even though a safe and cost-effective vaccine is available, in 2018, there were more than 140 000 measles deaths globally, mostly among children under the age of five.
Measles vaccination resulted in a 73% drop in measles deaths between 2000 and 2018 worldwide
In 2018, about 86% of the world's children received one dose of measles vaccine by their first birthday through routine health services – up from 72% in 2000.
During 2000- 2018, measles vaccination prevented an estimated 23.2 million deaths making measles vaccine one of the best buys in public health.
The government started an initiative of providing the vaccination to every child from the age 9 months to 15 years.
To support the initiative Mother Mary Public School took part and helped to set up vaccination camp inside the school on 19th January, 2023 by which more than 200 students were vaccinated.
