Meet with the at KPRIET

Around 26 students of Kpriet who were interested to gain industrial exposure in their desired fields were given an opportunity as interns in MOSAIQUE Pvt Ltd.
They were assigned an period of 120 hrs and started their internships by the second week of January.
The Interns were involved in various domains such as , , , EV and
They were guided by their team leaders of their Respective projects everyday on Hybrid mode.

On 03.02.2023, to discuss the progress of their respective projects, the Team Leaders and the founder of MOSAIQUE Pvt Ltd, Mr.Hiro Ishida visited KPRIET.
The meeting was addressed by Mr. Praneeth Balasubramaniam followed by Mr. Hiro Ishida explaining 'How MOSAIQUE works' and 'What should be the motive of the interns to create a better society using their engineering skills'

Then the team Leaders explained their projects to the interns of other domains in the meeting.
The interns interacted with the team leaders and Mr. Hiro Ishida, with their questions and suggestions to the development of projects of other domains with the experience of their past.

After the meeting, the interns discussed with their respective Team leaders on their progression and clarifications in the projects.
The Interns were happy that they've received an experience of during their Internship period and are looking forward to work with MOSAIQUE in the future.

Mr.Ishida addressed the students on internship and job opportunities in Mosaique and in Japanese companies. A meeting was held with heads of operational units on further colloboration in placement, internship and consultancy projects.

Japan Undergraduate course MEXT Scholarship and Eligibility – Part 1

General Course fee structure: (it may differ a little from University to University)

Examination fee: 5,000 yen
Entrance fee: 282,000 yen (one time)
Semester Tuition fee: 536,000 yen (per year)

Note: Japan residents/PR holders are not eligible for the MEXT scholarship (through the embassy recommendations). I would suggest→At the time of admission, your kids can cancel their existing VISA→apply for the course from India, and get a student VISA→ to come back to Japan. However, they are eligible by the University's recommendation for the MEXT fellowship (which will explain in part 2).

MEXT Scholarship remuneration: 117,000 YEN per month Course fee: Completely exempted for MEXT scholarship holders

Suppose you don't get selected for the MEXT scholarship; you may apply for University President Fellowship (ex: Tohoku University supports complete fee exemption for 4- years, examination fee, and entrance fee, but no monthly fellowship under this category).

Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) fellowship: This fellowship will support 48,000 per month along with the President fellowship, which we have to apply for every six months.

MEXT Scholarship: There are different kinds of scholarships in Japan. But MEXT scholarship is the most robust scholarship for international students for Undergrad, MSc, and Ph.D. MEXT scholarship can be divided into two categories:

A. Embassy Recommended MEXT
B. University Recommended MEXT

A. Embassy Recommended MEXT: This Scholarship opens around April-May every year. All countries that have diplomatic ties with Japan are eligible. Let's use Chennai as an example to illustrate how to apply for this scholarship. There are about 4 stages in this scholarship.

STAGE 1: This stage consists of the following: Go to the Embassy of Japan in Chennai's website

*Scroll down and click MEXT scholarship under Study in Japan
*Click Undergraduate Studies
*You will get all the information regarding the admission procedure.

Many applications will be reviewed and shortlisted by the embassy. If you are shortlisted, you will move to stage 2.

STAGE 2: In this stage, you will be called or sent an email to invite you for an exam. The exam is meant to access your basic communication skills in English as well as the Japanese language.

The aim of this test is to know the number of months you will be enrolled in the Japanese program before you start your UG/PG/Ph.D. This program is usually 3 months to 1 year, depending on how fast you can learn. So, if you score zero on the Japanese test, you will most likely be enrolled for 1-year Japanese language before commencing your program. Note that you will be given a certificate after the 1-year language program in Japan.

STAGE 3: This is the oral interview stage where they will ask you about the documents you filled. They will ask you why you chose Japan or undergraduate degree courses, etc. So, make sure you read everything you filled out and do some online research.

STAGE 4: Successful candidates will be issued an official award letter. It is this award letter you will now use to apply for admission to any school in Japan officially. Also, note that you can get as many admissions as possible using this letter. But, MEXT will choose just one when you are ready to leave. Alright, that's the end of Part 1.

In Part 2, we will explore the University Recommended MEXT for which foreign residents and PR holders in Japan are eligible. But to be a MEXT scholarship holder, the student must be recommended based on their school records by the University and elected by the MEXT.

Puthandu, according to the Hindu lunisolar calendar, is the first day of the traditional Tamil New Year. It is also known as Varsha Pirappu. This year, it falls on April 14. It is considered an auspicious ocassion and on this day, people wear new clothes, visit temples, decorate their homes and draw rangolis called kolams using rice flour on the home entrances.

Japanese Pluz has signed MoU with DKTE Society's Textile and Engineering institute Maharashtra through academic partnership program to enable the students and faculty to take up higher studies, job and collaborative research activities with Japan.
