The event, organised in the ATL Lab of the school, commenced with an inaugural address delivered by Mr. Ab Sami Shah, Vice Principal of the institute, who spoke about the primary aim of the celebration of this event as to broaden the scope and horizons of learning for students and to foster innovation among young minds from non-ATL schools and the local community, transcending traditional educational boundaries.

During the event, Mr. Imran Ahmad Khan, ATL Incharge of the institute, held an introductory session aimed at introducing the concept of Atal Tinkering Labs to the visiting students in attendance from nearby non-ATL schools (falling under School Complex – N. M. BHSS Bandipora). The session was attended by more than 100 students and teachers from the nearby non-ATL community schools, including students from this institute, who were provided with exposure to tinkering and an atmosphere fostering innovation and creativity.

Throughout the event, the students of this institution put their innovative projects on showcase to ignite curiosity and inspiration among the visiting students from non-ATL schools. The attendees expressed immense enjoyment and gratitude for their involvement in the celebration, indicating a keen interest in participating in similar events and programs in the future.

The proceedings of the event were overseen by Mr. Hrishikesh from UNICEF, India, and Mr. Surendra Bansode, Expert Teacher Trainer from Pi Jam Foundation, who had visited the school to witness the event and monitor its proceedings.

Following the conclusion of the event, the members from UNICEF and Pi Jam Foundation embarked on a brief tour to inspect the new ATL Lab Building being constructed in the school by the Department of School Education, J&K.

The visiting dignitaries expressed satisfaction with the work being done in the Lab, acknowledging the achievement of targets for which the lab has been established.

Nadim Memorial Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Bandipora hosted live webcast of India's 𝟮𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 in the ATL Lab of the school today on January 12, 2024, drawing a sizeable gathering of students, NCC Cadets, NSS Volunteers and staff of the institute. The event, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Nashik, Maharashtra, coincided with National Youth Day, commemorating the 161st Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

During the event, Hon’ble Prime Minister highlighted the pivotal role of India's youth power in propelling the country's development across various fields. Emphasizing the strength of 'Yuva Shakti', the Prime Minister underlined the theme of this year's festival: “MYBharat-ViksitBharat@2047 - By the Youth, For the Youth".

The festival showcased diverse cultural programs from various states, providing a vibrant display of India's rich heritage. In addition to cultural celebrations, the festival aimed to raise awareness about road safety through events in major cities and 750 district headquarters nationwide.

This National Youth Festival is more than just a celebration; it's a tribute to the spirit of 'VikasitBharat@2047', embodying a youth-driven revolution that fuels the dreams of a nation in its prime.

Boys Higher Secondary School Bandipora celebrated International Volunteer Day on December 04, 2023 in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission - NITI Aayog, Dell Technologies and Learning Links Foundation by involving student volunteers to positively impact the planet Earth by participating in practical-approach based activities with an aim to promote sustainable practices.

🎯 Objectives of the initiative:
• Raising awareness among participants about environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, and deforestation.
• Imparting knowledge about the adoption of sustainable practices in daily lives.
• Enhancing participation in the promotion of environmental sustainability.
• Changing attitude toward climate change by creating awareness on the Climate Clocks and creating awareness of the risks that lie ahead.

• Heightened imagination and enthusiasm of participants on prevailing environmental issues.
• Enabling responsible action towards climate.
• Exploring 3R approach (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) practically.

A pledge was also taken during morning assembly with a resolve to protect the environment by shrinking environmental impact, saving resources, and promoting green practices; furthering motivation among the students and the community in promoting eco-conscious and a commitment to environmental sustainability.

The students of the institute were engaged in an activity to build Climate Clock that will continue to countdown until it hits zero. By the time the clock hits zero, our carbon budget would be depleted and the likelihood of devastating global climate impacts would be very high. The purpose of engaging students to build the Climate Clock is to disseminate awareness about the urgency of addressing climate change and the limited time available to transition to a low-carbon or carbon-neutral society. We must take action to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions to zero as quickly as possible before the Climate Clock hits zero.

Nadim Memorial Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Bandipora proudly released its Annual School Magazine, "KARWAAN" for the year 2022-2023 on 21st of November, 2023. The ceremonious release took place within the school premises, witnessing the enthusiastic presence of both staff and students.

Leading the ceremonial release, Mr. Muzzaffar Ahmad Peer, Sr. Lecturer, unveiled the magazine on behalf of Principal of the institute making it accessible to the students, staff and the wider community.

Faculty members of the institute shared their valuable insights on the vital role of the school magazine in promoting the holistic development of students.

During the event, Mr. Arif Ahmad Khan, Teacher, while expressing his views underscored the significance of the magazine as a platform for students and staff to express their creativity in diverse fields while as Mr. Mohammad Rafiq Khan, Lecturer, emphasized the pivotal role played by students in contributing to the magazine. The faculty also encouraged students to leverage the future issues of the magazine as a channel for expressing their thoughts.

On September 22, 2023, the District Employment and Counselling Center (DECC) Bandipora conducted an enlightening Career Counselling Session at N. M. Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School in Bandipora. This event was meticulously organized to provide participants with valuable insights into potential career paths and opportunities.

The focal point of this session was the introduction of the Jammu and Kashmir Employment Portal/National Career Service (NCS) Portal. The participants were comprehensively informed about the multitude of services available on these portals, accompanied by a detailed demonstration and presentation led by Mr. Mohammed Yousuf Khan, Career Counselling Officer, DECC, Bandipora, who served as the guest speaker. His valuable insights and guidance added significant value to the session.

Furthermore, participants were educated about the myriad benefits associated with online registration on the Departmental portal, particularly following its integration with the NCS portal. This integration empowers unemployed youth by granting them access to job vacancies and pertinent information regarding national and international job fairs. The session extended beyond traditional career counselling, delving into the realm of self-employment schemes and a wide array of career counselling options.

The event garnered a distinguished attendance of students and guests besides the presence of esteemed staff members, adding to its success. A pivotal segment of the session was the interactive question-and-answer session, where participants had the opportunity to seek further clarification and guidance on their career-related queries.

State Council of Educational Research and Trainings - Kashmir Division (SCERT-KD) on September 15, 2023, wrapped up a five-day Capacity Building Programme organized for ATL Incharges of Kashmir Division, in collaboration with Learning Links Foundation (LLF) and Dell Technologies – the Knowledge Partner of AIM - NITI Aayog, New Delhi.

The training programme, notably the first of its kind at the Provincial Level, kick started on September 11, 2023, and was formally inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Mohd Sultan Khan, Head of Academic Unit II, SCERT-KD, accompanied by Dr. Sajad Ahmad Mir, Senior Academic Officer, Academic Unit II, SCERT-KD.

During the programme, the ATL Incharges from across the Kashmir Division were provided with the essential skills, knowledge and were involved in the hands-on training sessions by the team of experts from LLF under the seasoned guidance of Dr. Sajad Ahmad Mir, Senior Academic Officer, AU-II, SCERT-KD. The programme empowered the ATL Incharges in the field of STEM education besides equipping them with the techniques to effectively run ATL Labs in their respective institutions.

It is noteworthy that our institute, privileged to have an established ATL Lab, formed a part of this program and was represented by Mr. Imran Ahmad Khan, the ATL Incharge of the institute.

The program culminated on a positive note with the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director SCERT-KD, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Furthermore, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Dar, Joint Director SCERT-KD, joined the concluding session as the Guest of Honour, alongside distinguished special guests, including Prof. (Dr.) Mohd Sultan Khan, Head of Academic Unit II, SCERT-KD, and Dr. Mohd Arif Jan, Deputy Director J&K BOSE, Srinagar, among other notable dignitaries.

The Director in his address encouraged the ATL Incharges to use the acquired knowledge and expertise to inspire and guide their students in the field of technology and innovation, ensuring a brighter future for the region's budding innovators. He further unveiled the prospect of offering more advanced training opportunities to the ATL Incharges in the near future in collaboration with AIM - NITI Aayog, New Delhi.

We're thrilled to share the highlights of the Digital Week 2023 celebrated at Mini Secretariat Bandipora on 31-08-2023.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

The students of this institute who have applied for scholarship (on NSP Portal) during the year 2022 are hereby directed to visit the school office to get the Biometric Authentication of their scholarship application done by tomorrow, the 25th of August 2023 (upto 1:30 PM).

Biometric Authentication is mandatory for a student to get the scholarship application processed for payment through PFMS.

It is worth mentioning that the last date for authentication was 20th of August 2023 which has been extended for a few days in the interest of the students. There will be no further extension of last date.

NSS Unit of N. M. BHSS Bandipora Engages in Mock Drill and Awareness Programme with Fire & Emergency Service (F&ES) Command Bandipora.

Volunteers of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit at N. M. BHSS Bandipora actively engaged in a Mock Drill and Awareness Programme, organized by the Fire & Emergency Service (F&ES) Command Bandipora today on 16th August 2023.

This insightful event was a remarkable opportunity for our NSS volunteers to enhance their knowledge and skills in emergency response and disaster management. The F&ES officials adeptly demonstrated potential scenarios of unforeseen incidents and educated our volunteers about the vital first-hand solutions that can play a crucial role during such trying times.

The volunteers showed a commendable level of engagement throughout the programme as they attentively listened to the guidance provided by the F&ES experts and keenly observed the demonstrated emergency service methodologies. This learning experience will undoubtedly empower our volunteers to contribute effectively to the community's safety and well-being.

We are delighted to share with you the joyous celebration of the 77th Independence Day at N. M. BHSS Bandipora. The event took place within the school campus, echoing the spirit of patriotism and freedom that has defined our great nation.

Worthy Principal of the institute, Mr. Ab Rashid Lone, had the honor of hoisting the National Flag, a symbol of our country's unity and sovereignty. In a compelling public address, he eloquently highlighted the valiant struggles of our revered freedom fighters who gallantly fought to liberate our beloved land from the yoke of British colonialism.

The vibrant cultural diversity of our students was on full display as they mesmerized the audience with a kaleidoscope of performances. These included soul-stirring solo renditions of patriotic songs in Kashmiri, Punjabi, and Shina languages, as well as harmonious group melodies in Kashmiri, Pahari, and Shina dialects.

We took this special occasion to recognize and honor the exceptional contributions and achievements of our dedicated staff members, who have exhibited remarkable dedication throughout the year 2022-23. To further the overall infrastructural progress, an SMDC meeting was held in the office chamber of the Principal, N. M. BHSS Bandipora chaired by Mr. Ab Rashid Lone, Principal, today on 23rd of June 2023 regarding Annual School Development Plan for the year 2023-2024.
The developmental works done during the year 2022-2023 were taken cognizance of, on which the SMDC members expressed their satisfaction and appreciated the Chair. A threadbare discussion was held to prioritize the development works to be taken up during the current session for the betterment of the student community. The SMDC appreciated the Chair for having a great concern regarding the infrastructure and other facilities aimed at providing ease to students of the institution.

The students who are provisionally admitted in class 11th in this institute and have passed class 10th examination in the recently declared Class 10th Results, Annual Regular 2023, are hereby directed to complete the formalities for confirmation of admission (class 11th) for the academic session 2023-2024 by or before 30th of June 2023.

The students shall have to produce the following documents for confirmation of their admission in class 11th for the academic session 2023-2024:
1. Photocopy of Class 10th Marks Card
2. Discharge and Character Certificates from the previous school.
3. Two passport size photographs
4. Photocopy of Aadhaar Card

Throughout May 2023, our students embarked on an amazing journey of exploration and innovation in the ATL Lab. The students dived into the world of technology, gaining essential 21st-century skills and understanding the impact of cutting-edge tech on our lives.

One of the highlights was the incredible ATL workshop, where our students engaged in problem-solving experiences with enthusiasm and creativity, thereby expanding their horizons.

To celebrate National Technology Day, we had a vibrant event in the ATL Lab with Mr. Waseem Ahmad Wani, a mentor from Learning Links Foundation, Dell Technologies, guiding our students.

N. M. BHSS Bandipora celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st of June 2023 and participated in Yoga Event at Mini Secretariat Bandipora.

Bandipora, 21st June 2023: Nadim Memorial Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Bandipora enthusiastically celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st of June 2023. The school actively participated in a Yoga event organized at the Mini Secretariat Bandipora, joining the participants from across the district in promoting the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga. The event, organized to create awareness about the importance of yoga and its positive impact on overall well-being, saw the enthusiastic participation of students of this institute under the guidance of Physical Education Staff.

The celebration commenced with a brief introduction to yoga and its significance in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The participants were guided through a series of yoga asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises) by trained yoga instructors. The session aimed to improve flexibility, strength, and concentration while promoting inner peace and harmony.

In addition to the participation in the Yoga Event at District Level, a yoga session was also conducted at N. M. BHSS Bandipora. Participation in the event fostered a sense of unity, harmony, and discipline among the students and staff members. It also helped raise awareness about the importance of yoga in maintaining holistic health and promoting peace within oneself and the community.

It is a matter of profound bliss and honour that one of the brilliant students of Nadim Memorial Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Bandipora, Aamir Fayaz Wani, has passed 12th class examination with flying colours and has proved his mettle by securing 3rd position in Kashmir Division (Commerce Stream), besides ranking first in District Bandipora (Commerce Stream).

Aamir Fayaz has been one of the most disciplined, punctual and humble students ever. He would always be present in the class with utmost sincerity and had respect for the teachers.

May Allah bestow His choicest blessings upon this genius and make him achieve what he is aspiring to become.
