Tramore Music Studio offers tuition in singing, piano and music theory. Individual and group lessons are provided for children and adults of all levels.
Individual and group lessons from the age of seven are provided in vocal tuition with a focus on technique, building confidence in performing and above all the enjoyment of singing. Students study and perform a wide range of repertoire including classical, music theatre and modern music. Students can be prepared for national competitions including Feis Ceoil, Arklow Feis and Fintan O Carroll Feis. Singing exam syllabi include Royal Irish Academy of Music (classical and music theatre) and Associated Board to diploma level. Christmas and summer concerts take place giving students the opportunity to perform solo and ensemble music. Róisín teaches individual lessons in piano and music theory up to grade 8 in RIAM and ABRSM. Musical director Róisín O’Grady is an experienced teacher and soprano. She studied music at University College Cork where she took her B.A. and B.Mus (Hons) and also studied piano to degree level at the Cork School of Music. She completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Concert Singing at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow. She received a First Class Hons. M.A. in Performance at the Cork School of Music. Róisín was a member of and a soloist with The National Chamber Choir of Ireland for over two years. She performed with the choir throughout Ireland and toured Holland and The Lebanon. In 2011 they performed for US President Barack Obama in the White House on St. Patrick’s Day. As a soloist, she has performed with leading orchestras including the Irish Baroque orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of St Cecilia. She has given recitals in Ireland’s most prominent music venues and festivals.
