Delighted to have Dr. Meg Benke with us today at WIT for the final National Forum seminar of the semester.

Our final TEL Community of Practice meeting takes place Thursday of next week, May 23rd, with Dr. Padraig Kirwan. "There are many reasons for not doing online programmes from a lecturer, a management and an institute perspective. I will expand on the reasons why staff in my department have done it anyway, and the part that management has to play in overcoming all of the barriers to getting a programme fully online. These include, but are not restricted to, allocation model, facilities, demand, assessment, student engagement, and teas and coffees." To book your place click on this link: http://ctel.wit.ie/workshops/running/894

This week's TEL Community of Practice meeting is sure to stimulate the imagination. Dr. Hazel Farrell decided to pursue the concept of a paperless year, with a specific focus on the presentation of course materials, collaborative learning, assessment and feedback. Come along to hear about her journey. A finger food buffet will be served from 12.45 for those attending.
