STEMreach Problem Solving & Puzzle Fair 2018
We've successfully launched a #STEMreach Problem Solving & Puzzle Fair TY programme with Maths Week Ireland earlier this year and just can't keep this brilliant video from you! Ursuline Waterford was one of the first schools to run the pilot project in May 2018 and by the time Maths Week 2018 came around in October, schools in Waterford, Tramore and Dungarvan had taken up the idea and invited primary schools to take part in Puzzle Fairs organised by TY students. Looking forward to many more #STEMreach activities in 2019! Waterford Institute of Technology Science Foundation Ireland John Halligan Damien Tiernan WLR FM Beat 102 103

A simple and fun household chemistry experiment that demonstrates the chemical reaction of gas (carbon dioxide) being released as a result of mixing acetic acid (baking soda) and sodium bicarbonate (vinegar). This demonstration was recorded during a Career Development Course for Teachers held by CALMAST.
We have arrived here at the #BIGevent at Winchester Science Centre. We will be showcasing our new Robert Boyle show in the Winchester's Marquee at 2:30-4pm on Friday. BIG STEM Network Robert Boyle Summer School
Developing serious problem solving skills! It's all about looking from different perspectives, using different approaches, thinking of a good strategy and of course a good bit of team work. Had a fab day with a group of Ursuline Waterford TYs and Maths Week Ireland - see how they well they managed the Towers of Hanoi and our Jumping Easter Bunnies!
