AREA 19 DIV E

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the sad and untimely passing of our dear friend and fellow club member Lynsey Kavanagh.
Lynsey was a warm, friendly person with a passion for horses, animals and motorbikes. She was well known for great sense of humour and unmistakable infectious laugh.
Lynsey stands out as our bravest and most determined club member. She found public speaking a challenge but became a fantastic communicator who inspired us all by constantly pushing herself to develop further. She was totally committed to the club and always gave her all to any role she undertook.
She will be sorely missed by all of us in DLS Communicators and fondly remembered for her friendliness, huge smile & positive outlook, for her welcoming personality and that infectious giggle.
A light has gone out in our lives but our happy memories remain.
We will miss you Lynsey. Rest in Peace

[06/18/19]   Our last Toastmasters' meeting was held last week.

Here is Evelyn Fitzmaurice after presenting to 70 students yesterday. This feat was something she says she could not have done it before. As a previously fearful and anxious public speaker, Evelyn has overcome this through practice at the Waterford branch of #toastmasters. She attributes the support of Toastmasters for helping her to this.

What a great bunch of students!
I was delighted to present 'Digital Marketing- a Practical Outlook' to the first year students at WIT Waterford Institute of Technology. It was fantastic to meet with the three groups from Bachelor of Business, Higher Certificate in Business Studies, Bachelor of Science in Retail Management. It was particularly relevant to the communications and technology module they were studying. Thanks for great participation from the introduction, parking directions, and final conclusion. I loved the clever Q& A too - the questions were well thought out and articulated. I'm so impressed!

The future is bright!
