Windi Arini, Programme Officer RWI Regional Asia Pacific, contributed to the publication and emphasized that human rights action plans serve as valuable frameworks for cities and municipalities to advance human rights at the local level. By providing a roadmap for aligning policies with human rights principles and establishing mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation, action plans facilitate ongoing progress assessment and improvement identification. However, challenges such as legal and institutional barriers, resource constraints, and fluctuating political support can hinder effective implementation. For more info click link in bio
