Congratulations to Claudio for completing his scuba refresher course today! He hadn’t dove in 8 years, but was a natural in the water! We enjoyed a dive at MDA Oasis, with some encounters with eels, turtles, bubble coral and grumpy stonefish and flounder.

A giant THANK YOU to my amazing students for a wonderful 2022! Shell Divers reached the elite level with over 240 certifications. We/I have had the blessed opportunity to teach students of all levels from discover diving to Divemaster and behind, while also being a single parent to two amazing children!

I’ve also had the joy to watch my students go from students to professional divers through the divemaster and instructor routes and I have been proud watching them grow in their careers and adventures.

Congratulations to April, Stephanie and Hiu on your recent Open Water Scuba Certifications! All three worked incredibly together to learn and perfect mask skills, dive fundamentals and buddy teamwork! I am so proud of all 3 of you!

Whether purpose-sunk as an artificial reef for scuba divers, or lost as the result of an accident, wrecks are fascinating windows to the past. Ships, airplanes and even cars are fascinating to explore and usually teem with aquatic life. Each wreck dive offers a chance for discovery, potentially unlocking a mystery or spying something others have missed. The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course is popular because it offers rewarding adventures while observing responsible wreck diving practices.

If you're at least 15 years old and have earned a PADI Adventure Diver certification or higher, you can enroll in the Wreck Diver Specialty course.

Congratulations to Johnny on your Open Water Scuba Certification. We enjoyed some awesome dives at Gab Gab and San Luis, learning invaluable skills on safety exploring the depths down to 60 feet!
