It’s nice when you have someone come into the shop and say “I’d like to learn scuba diving.” It’s really nice when someone comes in and says, “I hear you guys are pretty awesome with your dive courses, and I’d like to take one.” But when you have someone come in and say “I can’t be a dive pro because of my current commitments, but I want to dive like an elite diver!”, then it turns into something very special and we start having all the fun!!
Huge congratulations to Nathan Merz who in the last 4 weeks has completed his Recreational Sidemount course, his Perfect Buoyancy course ,his Decompression Diver course, and finally his Advanced Wreck Diver course! The absolute best part is that through the Veteran’s Support program with SSI and Scuba Guam, the Department of Veteran’s Affairs and the G. I. Bill entitlement will reimburse him for all of those courses!!

And we keep doing the things!! Training continues and we are still having lots of fun out here!! Huge shoutouts to our awesome students because they are keeping us super busy!! Thomas Meeks completed his Perfect Buoyancy course and is already amazed at his improvements in air consumption and total comfort while diving! Marco Destefano completed the requirements for Scuba Diver and will return to us to complete the open Water Diver requirements on his next visit. Nathan Merz is the current overachiever for completing his Perfect Buoyancy course and his Recreational Sidemount course…and is already signed up for not only the Advanced Wreck course, but also the Decompression Diver course!!
We have a Wreck diver course happening next weekend with 2 dives on our famous Tokai Maru/SMS Cormoran wreck site and I currently have 4 people signed up. We have room for 4 more people about stands right now and we would absolutely love to fill this course!!

It’s been a long road. mistakes were made, lessons were learned, and training was completed! Congratulations to the newest SSI Open Water Instructors John Hatcher and Dillon Quealey! Special shoutout goes to Megan Scheibe, the examiner from SSI who came out to administer the final exam for these guys!
We are growing, we are expanding, and we are looking for the next generation of divers to take the step into becoming an SSI Pro. Stop by our shop and ask about the training plans and how you can start your journey!

Once again, the good times and awesome training keeps happening. Big congratulations to our newest friend Mike Mulholland who has completed his Deep diver and Nitrox diver course! Also pictured is our newest Divemaster, Emily providing support as usual!

Even with the Instructor Training Course in full swing, we are still growing. After a whole lot of work, lots of training, schedule juggling that could have landed her a place in Cirque Du Soleil (pretty sure I didn’t spell that right…), and a whole lot of working and bourbon the water, I am proud to present to you Emily Harper, our newest (paperwork pending) SSI Divemaster!! Congratulations are in order to Emily, because she did amazing! Feel free to contact the shop and request her for guided dives either from the boat or from shore.

Closing out another amazing morning of diving one of the signature dive sites here on Guam and doing it the best way we could…huge congratulations to Mindy Kang for completing her SSI Advanced Wreck course! Wreck pe*******on can be daunting, but with the right training, equipment, and attitude, you now have the skills to look deeper into the dark and explore!

An absolutely perfect day to go diving on a one of a kind wreck site! While we were there, we had a wreck diver course going on. From left to right is Mindy Kang, who finished the first 2 dives in her Advanced Wreck course, Caleb Wheeler, who finished his Wreck diver course, and Ian Wramp, your friendly neighborhood dive instructor!
