This course will teach the fundamentals of blacksmithing. You will learn all basic forging techniques, along with the annealing, hardening, and tempering of steel. This course will take three (3) Saturdays, 1pm - 7pm to complete (18 hours of training).

The course is $300/person with only 3 slots per course. Non-refundable after start of course.

Upon completion you will receive a Certificate of Completion: Basic Forging which will be a prerequisite to other courses offered.

Tools needed: Lizamas Forge will provide all the basic tools needed to complete the course.

Safety equipment: You will need to bring your own: eye protection, leather gloves (preferably welding gloves), leather apron (optional), and water/snacks.

Please note that you will need to sign a media release/liability waiver before starting the course if you are unable to sign this document please do not sign up for this course. Must be at least 15 years of age to take the course and parents must sign a media release/liability waiver.

Please email us at [email protected] with the subject line: “Reserve my spot!” to indicate your intent. An invoice will then be sent to you via email with the payment information. There are only 3 slots per class so those who pay first are automatically reserved for the course.

Basic Forging Course ($250 per person)
