WOW. What a truly fantastic turnout for our Carols by Candlelight service this evening. The church was almost packed to the rafters.
A huge thank you to everyone who turned up tonight to watch and support the our wonderful children, who did amazingly well.
If you would like to do some more singing, West Coker Church have another Carol service this Sunday (11.12.22) with mince pies and mulled wine to help keep you warm.
Reminder: Carol service today at 4.30pm. Doors open at 4pm for Mince pies and beverages.
The children will stay in school and walk down to the church with the staff.
We invite all parents and the community to come and see our wonderful children sing their hearts out after all the hard work they have put in to learning the carols with Mrs Sibthorpe.

Our first house sporting competition has come to an end with Lyme Regis just pipping Weymouth 11-9 in the Dodgeball final last week. A very close game played in great spirit by all.

We have had some fantastic sporting results for a small school at West Coker over the past year and a bit and these 2 fabulous children have gone and taken it a step further.
A third place and a runners up place in the recent British Kickboxing championships. Everyone at West Coker is immensely proud of you both.
Truly incredible results. Keep up the amazing work and effort and I'm sure you two will soon be picking even more awards.
With the festive season approaching and we are excited to share with you some of our Christmas plans.
1. Children and staff are invited to wear Christmas jumpers everyday. Although this is not compulsory it would it would be great to see as many wacky and colourful Christmas jumpers as possible.
2. Our Christmas fair is on Friday 2nd December from 2pm. We invite you all to join us in the school hall for a range of activities. There will also be the opportunity to buy some Christmas crafts that our wonderful children have created.
3. Our Christmas Carol service will be on Monday 5th December 4.30pm-5.30pm at West Coker Church. Doors will open af 4pm for mince pies and the children will stay in school and walk down to the church with the staff. We invite you all parents as well as the community to come and listen to our children sing their hearts out after all their incredible rehearsals with Mrs Sibthorpe.
4. Our Nativity performance will be on Monday 12th December in the school hall at 2pm and 4pm. More details to follow soon.
5. On Tuesday 13th December (am), we will be taking the whole school to the Octagon Theatre to watch the pantomime (Dick Whittington)
6. Our Christingle Service will be on Tuesday 13th December (2.45pm) please do join us at West Coker Church for this fabulous service.

Discovery Class have been repotting spider plants to sell next week at the Christmas Fair. Great gardening work!

Today Voyagers finished their Invasion topic by making Viking and Anglo-Saxon artefacts. They have worked hard throughout this topic and demonstrated some fantastic knowledge and learning.

A reminder that it is Children in Need day tomorrow. The theme is spots. Wear anything spotty - go all out in a spotty onsie or paint some spots on your face. Don't forget there is a Β£1 donation. And there's a cake sale after school too!!
