I have started filming my new documentary about autism and today I got to visit my old primary school to re live some old memories. Here I am standing in the exact spot that changed my life forever. I can't wait to share this part of my story and the film with you all soon! 🙂

I am happy to share a training session I did recently introducing the 'Accept Approach' which and acceptance based strategy I have created to support autistic children. In the session I discuss acceptance and how I apply it to supporting children/young people. I also talk through the ''Four Foundations of The Accept Approach', and give examples how to apply them.

Today would have been my mums 72nd birthday. She was the best mum I could ever have wished for and is the main reason I was inspired to set up acceptingbehaviour and suport autistic children and their families.
She always told me as a little kid when I was struggling in life and getting into trouble 'its not your fault' and 'it is going to be ok'. She always accepted me when everyone else around was telling her I am a naughty, bad, unruly, and selfish boy. Mum knew there was more to me than my behaviours. She saw the real me.
Today I need her more than ever x Love you mum and thanks for the message of hope that I will NEVER let go of, and will always share with families and kids in this group - IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT 🙌 Keep on keeping on everyone :)

Over the past few years I have been developing an acceptance based support training program and I am proud to say that 'The ACCEPT Approach' has now been published by the Good Autism Practice Journal in their Oct 2021 edition, which will be available to download this month!
I am so excited to be able to begin sharing my training and supporting families and educators who are interested in acceptance based approaches to support their autistic children.

Our daughter Lily can only manage a couple of hours of learning a week at the moment and mostly stays in her room because that is all she can cope with. This evening she came on a walk and played in a stream by our house as the sun went down x It was so lovely to see her happy 😊 Our kids are so 'much more' than their struggles 🙌
