Using Tabata Pro stopwatch app, each round was timed with a 10 second interval to move to the next station.
Descending timed rounds
Round 1: 1 min
Round 2: 45 secs
Round 3: 30 secs
The video shows our final round, hubby's videoing skills need to be worked on as first 2 rounds he had his finger over the lens!
1) Squat to overhead press
Alternatives: Faye my youngest, opted for ball throw, rather than DBs due to her age and the fact that she's very attached to her football lol!
Cameron opted for goblet squat.
2) Reverse Lunges
Alternatives: Add weights for more resistance, or oblique twist to work core more.
3) Step Ups
Alternatives: if you don't have a garden step, use bottom of stairs. Burpees and mountain climbers work well here too.
4) KB swings
Alternatives: if you don't have a kettlebell, go for weighed rucksack ... or as Faye does, use a football to get the motion of the swing!
Despite the testing times. DCG will remain open until instructed by the authorities to close.
All classes remain on as normal. We are disinfecting everywhere like crazy & as our members know our cleaning standards are very high under normal circumstances.
We have air conditioning bringing fresh air in all the time as well as 2 dehumidifiers working 24/7 to make it as hostile an environment to viruses as possible.
It is therefore up to individuals to make an informed choice as to come in or not. Understandably some of our more at risk users will choose to stay away.
No doubt we all face tough times in the coming months we ask all our members to stand by us if possible & hope any disruption will be minimal.
