Four-day school week linked to better academic performance, study finds
Something to think about? I know many of my students would love a three day weekend!
As long as school has existed, students have wanted to spend less time there. But for the first time, a study in the US has shown that giving primary school kids a three-day weekend doesn't appear to have a negative impact on academic performance -...
And now for round two of results... All the best to our GCSE students tomorrow!
Today’s A Level Results day!
Here’s a handy list of the things to do (courtesy of the Telegraph)…
1. 8am Track goes live – have your UCAS Track ID and login ready
2. Pick up your results from school
3. Did you get the grade? Congratulations! Check Track for your confirmation letter and any instructions from your university.
4. Did you do better than expected? Consider trading up a course through Adjustment
5. Just missed the grades? Talk to your university, they may still accept you.
6. If not, check Track to see if you can apply through Clearing – keep checking for updated vacancies if you are eligible
7. Consider a gap year – speaking from experience, it can be the best thing you do.
8. Have fun!
All the best everyone!
Wishing all our A Level students well tomorrow!
A new testimonial!
I just wanted to drop you an email to say thanks so much for all your help and encouragement with my maths- without you, I wouldn't have passed the test!
You took time to work out how I learn best which I really appreciated. It's important to have a tutor that is patient and supportive- even when I doubted my ability, you helped me see that I was able to do it!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for a tutor.
What more do you need in a tutor? :D
