Each time we put on one of these events, it gets better and better.

This time we leaned into the discussion idea that came a little from our Clinic with earlier in the year.

I’m excited to share some small glimpses of what happened over the next few weeks.

Some truly magical conversations.

My name is Adam Bond. You might know me from . Founded in 2017, it started simply as a way for me to earn a living through playing the drums.

Fast-forward through a Global Pandemic, and I found myself in 2022. I had a hunger to make up for all that the Pandemic had stolen from us.

On Tuesday 1st February 2022, I contacted my friend to ask whether he would ever consider co-running a jam night with me in Woking. That led to the beginnings of our !

Running the Weekly Jam led to the barrier to running live events being broken!

On Tuesday 2nd June 2022, we ran our first live music event outside of the Jam in collaboration with a local church. That led the way to .

On Wednesday 21st September 2022, we started regular Drum Clinics. Being so close to one of the World's Musical Capitals allowed us to bring down musicians to Woking in a way nobody else was.

Fast forward to the present day, Thursday 11th May 2023. We have almost 100 weekly students learning to play the drums through The School of Drumming. We're hosting clinics every three months or so. Our last one sold 107 tickets! 107! That's mental!

The Woking Jazz Nights are growing! We sold more than 100 tickets on our most recent night. It went so well that the Van Sold Out!

Our Weekly Jam Night has a regular attendance of 35+ people each week. We've attracted 49K views on YouTube!

We've formed the best relationship with Methodist Church, our venue for all of the different events.

But what's next? Is there a way we can consolidate all that we're doing into a single entity? Something that can allow our musical community to grow and flourish?

Let me introduce you to the Woking School of Music.

Woking School of Music combines all these things and so much more! It's not just a music school, but a vibrant community of local people who share a love for music!
