Another SATS Sample, Speed / Distance / Time and Angles 06/03/2024

Latest post!

Another SATS Sample, Speed / Distance / Time and Angles A few years ago I wrote a series of articles ... and they just about disappeared into the internet. Jumbled Sentences, Grade 3 - 4 and Cylinders 09/02/2024

Jumbled Sentences, Grade 3 - 4 and Cylinders I mentioned last week that it's been difficult to find a suitable online maths course, to further develop my own skills. Angles, Pythagoras and Reverse Percentages While it's great to see students completing worksheets - it's even better to see them enthusiastic and engaged. Just to keep the learning going! :-)

Calculation, Angles and Probability During the past few months I've made a concious effort to feedback on completed work. Two things you need to do — to get good at maths 08/08/2023

Ah ... just because I felt like writing something :-)

Two things you need to do — to get good at maths It seems that, for entry to a UK 6th form, many schools are looking for an indication of maths ability. That’s fine for students who are pursuing a career in science. But what if you need to gain a place, but never going near a quadratic equation ever again?

02/08/2023

Hi -

Here's an excellent opportunity for a passionate and driven individual to join a successful private tuition provider in the North Leeds area. You will be part of a close knit team supporting the learning and development of Key Stage 2 - 4 students, through after school maths and English classes.

The work is enjoyable, challenging, worthwhile - and looks great on a cv :-) You'll need a good understanding of maths & English to GCSE level, although many students are late primary / early High School.

We currently run the after school classes Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning ... all in the North Leeds area. I can (potentially) arrange transport if required. Hours of work are as class times + approximately ½ hour before / after. Payment is by monthly BACS transfer, and based upon age / experience.

Please do let me know if of interest, and I can forward a full job description. Happy to accommodate if you can only work on some of the days.
