On Saturday 2nd July, we are holding an open day/ summer fayre at Church Street Day Nursery, we are looking to support a handful of local small businesses, by offering you to set up a stall outside for a small charge. This could be handmade gifts, sweet treats, book sales or many other wonderful things.

Today we had a sensory session in the garden.

Water play and some heavy sensory with the trampolines and exercise ball.

Lion king children have included maths into their farm tuff tray today. The children need to look at the numbers and scoop the correct amount of food into the animals bowls 🐄🐄🐑🐑

Help us celebrate World book day on Thursday 3rd March, all children are welcome to come to nursery dressed as their favourite book character.
We will have a fun day will lots of stories and activities.
The children can also bring in their favourite story from home, please make sure names are wrote in them.

We are very excited to introduce our newest member of the Church Street family…..

Please meet Tiddles our resident Hermann’s Tortoise 😊

All of the children will take it in turns to look after him, feed him, bath him and take him outside when the weather improves, to bask in the sunshine 🌞

The children and the staff are all very excited to meet him 💙🐢💙 we love him already 💙🐢💙

Due to high demand in our baby room and toddler room, we currently have a 30 hour per week position available.
You must be flexible to work within the hours of 7.30am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
A minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years is essential (not Health and Social Care) and you must have (or be willing to gain) your Level 1 in Child Protection and Paediatric First Aid.
Previous experience in working with this age group would be a preference, but not essential.

New Covid-19 restrictions from Tuesday, 30 November | Coronavirus update

‼️Parent information‼️

In line with new government guidance we are asking for all parents to please wear face coverings when dropping off and collecting your children from nursery, our staff will all still continue to wear a mask on hand overs.
We also ask that if your child is showing any symtpoms of COVID 19, however mild, please can you get a PCR test and wait for a negative result before bringing them into nursery.

Lion king children (preschool) are learning all about Dinosaurs this week today they are measuring the Dinosaurs using rulers and multilink and rescuing them from the trap!! 🦕🦕

Today we wrapped the LED cube in clingfilm, drew on some shapes and used paint to trace over them🎨🌟

The use of sensory play can assist the child with touching, smelling and playing with the texture it is beneficial for all children to explore different textures during play

I would like to say a big Thankyou and well done to all of the parents, children and staff for helping to raise an amazing total of £258.87 for Children in need 🙂🧸🙂

The Mickey Mouse room children (pre-school) are learning about dinosaurs this week, they have enjoyed their dino edible tuff tray this morning 🦖🦕

Our toddler room children are learning about night time animals, they have had fun using cotton wool to paint their own owls 🦉

They've also enjoyed the dinosaurs stomping into the nursery garden for their outdoor activity 🦖🦖

🌟Our Sensory room🌟

We are very proud to have our very own sensory room within the nursery.

This provides a sense of calm and comfort, sensory rooms help children learn to self-regulate their behaviours, which ultimately improves focus. Our children love to come into the sensory room for 1:1 time or in small groups to explore all of the sensory equipment.

Road safety week

This week we have been taking part in road safety week, the children have all learnt very important lessons about how to keep safe on the road, we have also learnt all about the amazing work our road safet hero’s do to help us.
