Tonight, Charlotte and I were invited to watch one of our OG’s as the lead in her 3rd year drama grad show. Her opening 17 minute monologue was FLAWLESS and she moved the audience to tears on more than one occasion 🌟
It’s always sad when our older ones leave us but it’s all the more special when as adults they invite us back into their lives in a different capacity.
Watching her lead a fabulous 3rd year cast I could still see a bit of Gabriella, Bertha the Christmas Witch, Izzy & Lizzy, Warrington’s got talent finalist, a trip to London to see wicked, a trip to Manchester to see rent, cbbc does glee and her solo moment on stage at the opera house ❤️

Eve you are so very talented and I’m so grateful you’ve asked me to be your agent and invited us both to watch tonight. We’re super proud of the actress and adult you’ve grown into.

Excited that the Lowry CAT have picked us as a centre to host one of their workshops free of charge to our students to expand their knowledge of contemporary dance 🩰 this will be open to our students age 9+ and taking place in the new year! Watch this space for more details 🙌🏻🌟

Big well done to Willow and Grace who worked as Elves at Grappenhall Heys Christmas fair! They were super helpful at greeting the children, helping Santa with the gifts and remained in character for a full 3 hours! I was super proud of you girls ❤️🎄 your professionalism for 2 12 year olds was outstanding 🙌🏻

Evening all!! Just thinking ahead to tomorrow- the sports hall is likely to be very cold in the morning so can you please try and make sure that everyone has lots of layers and shoes that can be kept on feet for dancing (trainers/pumps/anything that won't slip off) as the floor is concrete so will probably be freezing and socks aren't going to provide enough protection 🥶🥶

Really do need some parents who are registered chaperones to volunteer to be present at the Xmas show - no one can perform if we don’t have these in place. Please let me know asap if you can be there

So proud of our gorgeous girl Abigail who is lighting up that stage 🌟🌟 she’s signed her first autograph this week at the stage door, she’s absolutely loving being on stage and she met the girl who had played the star for the previous 3 years. It’s super hard work but she’s loving every second and it was extra lovely to see her pop into class tonight for a cuddle 🥰 keep shining Abigail!!

After joining us at our fairy show, excited that will be coming along to our Christmas show on 17th December and offering Christmas pics in costume on the day 🎄🎅🏻🤶🏻 I took Erin for a trial run the other day 🌟we’re feeling festive! 🙌🏻

A busy afternoon for Emily and Harriet who also competed today. Big thanks to Willow who also went to cheer them on and helped support Emily backstage ❤️. Super proud of Emily who placed 🥇 in Acro - first time attempting an acro solo of any kind and she learnt it super fast!
Harriet danced beautifully gaining 2 gold medals today in contemporary 🥇 and acro 🥇 - you keep going from strength to strength Harriet!!
I feel like tiny pieces of my heart have been in various places today with us being in class, Amelia this morning, Harriet and Emily this afternoon and Abigail on stage in Birmingham tonight 🌟 it’s so lovely even when we can’t be there physically for every event that you support each other and cheer each other on! Proud of everyone today 🌟✨🥰

So proud of Amelia who went to comp this morning by herself and competed for ❤️🌟 Amelia danced beautifully with lovely feedback and a high score. The video was beautiful and sorry we couldn’t be there to cheer you on in person but we had classes 🤦🏻‍♀️ thank you for representing us so beautifully. We are super proud of you 🌟

It’s CHRISTMAS SHOW time ❤️🎄🙌🏻🌟🎅🏻 our little stars this week have been naughty snowmen, our rising stars have been postman penguins and our seniors have been mischievous Elves! We’re having lots of fun putting this together and our performances will be on Saturday 17th December! It’s going to be Christmas tastic! 🎄🎄🎄🎄

Tomorrow night this tiny blonde thing with glasses makes her professional theatre debut and I couldn’t be prouder of her as a teacher 🙌🏻🌟❤️ everyone who has taught Abigail has played their part in nurturing her talents and she had gone from strength to strength. If your exam is today please be aware there are road closures/restrictions in Grappenhall for the Remembrance Day Parade between 9.30 and 12.30 so allow plenty of time to get here

I mentioned to the seniors we could do with a couple of volunteers to help us out with doing music this weekend..... we had quite a few willing volunteers. The blocks we need are:

Sunday 13th 9-11:45

If you're coming in for an exam anyway and don't mind coming a little earlier/ staying a bit after to do some music, please let me know. You do come out whilst they're doing acting/ questions etc so they won't be sat in a room solidly for the whole time and music will be very clearly labelled and is in drop box folders by name! We'll make sure it's easy :)

It’s mock exam week! We will be doing our utmost this week to get through mock exams with everyone in class! Everyone should have copies of things they can practise at home and mums and dads can be a big help going over reflection questions! Final push for the next 12 days 🌟💪🏻

As some of you may have seen over on our casting agency page...... our gorgeous Abigail Salt is performing in Nativity! the musical at birmingham rep theatre over Christmas. They've finally confirmed the schedule and looking at it I think the best options are:

Saturday 7th January 7pm (Abbie's final show - go out with a bang!)

Or Thursday 5th January at 2:30pm although i'm aware that might mean an afternoon off school for some people depending on dates you start back!!

If you're interested in coming along, please let me know and I can give them a call and work out group availability/ transport.

Proud of our girls - Abigail and Emily (and their agency friend Hattie!) who went today to a recall for a major musical 🎭 whatever the outcome they worked really hard, worked as a team, encouraged others and had lots of fun! Proud of you girls! If your child attends our classes and is interested in our agency please speak to Lauren in class for further details!

Last night we had our little stars class from 3-7. We were working on a monologue for our exams and can now call and repeat 5 lines. We also worked on our ‘I just can’t wait to be king’ song and dance 🦁 (feel free to practise singing this one at home!) and we did a group dance focusing on some tricky steps and working on technique. 🌟. We then had our seniors in for dance who worked on strength, technique and a bit of a recap of some comp routines. We also had a bit of junior/ senior over lap 🤣💕

Well done to our rising stars Abbie and Emily who have been recalled for a lead in a major musical 🤞🏼🌟 they have a live audition on Sunday at the theatre - what a brilliant experience for them 💕 🌟

Our tiny toes were back in the room this morning working towards the start of our exam term 🌟 our younger lessons have done some call and response monologue work, learned a group dance working on some of the technical steps at a slower pace and been introduced to some new songs. We also discussed the meaning of mime and played some games using this skill. Our rising stars and seniors have looked at the exam syllabus for their grade and set goals to achieve by next week ✅ we have students workin from grades 1-6 this time 🙌🏻 we have started working on setting pieces, devising monologues and looking at alternative exams such as speech and drama if musical theatre isn’t right for us this time! 🎭 a busy week but extremely productive! Lots of people have also contacted me to say they want to do .events in October so we will be sending off those entries this weekend! Happy Saturday everyone!

One of the pros of having our own casting agency…. I took a call this week about an MT opportunity and this meant in class this week, anyone who fit the bill (agency or not) was able to be put forward 🌟 Anna-Rose had never done a self tape before but she smashed this one 🎭 if you’re looking for some professional opportunities for your child and a stage school with an in house (very busy!) agency…. We might be the school for you!
