We’re working as quickly as possible to roll out our lifeguard service, starting with key beaches in England this weekend. But our Chief Executive, Mark Dowie, has written this open letter as we ask for help to manage an impossible situation.

***URGENT*** ***PLEASE READ***

Dear all, it has been suggested/stated by the UK Government it’s now ok to go swimming outdoors.

May I just take this opportunity to remind everyone that this is NOT safe.

Swimming in lakes and ponds etc, without being part of an organised, safe and controlled activity is NOT safe.

Also regarding the sea. You should only ever swim between the red and yellow flags. This is the lifeguard zone. We are not sure if the beaches are currently operating a lifeguard service. We assume not at this time.

We teach survival lessons for this very reason. Survival lessons are taught for emergencies.

So PLEASE to anyone reading, do not take risks near any open water, follow safety advice/signs at all times and keep safe.

Due to the outbreak of coronavirus our pools are closing until further notice.

All lessons are cancelled and messages will go out to parents today.

As soon as we have more information regarding reopening the pools we will be in touch to resume lessons.

In the mean time please follow government and NHS advise to help control the spread of the virus.
