The British Bryological Society (www.britishbryologicalsociety.org.uk) exists to promote the study of mosses and liverworts

The Society was constituted in its present form in 1923, replacing the Moss Exchange Club founded in 1896. We have a worldwide membership of amateurs and professionals actively engaged in the taxonomy, distributional recording, exploration and ecology, physiology, cyto-genetics and molecular biology of bryophytes. We produce scientific and general interest publications on the subject of Bryology and organise national, international and local meetings.
