Back at Cornerstone. Without a doubt this is one of the most needy schools that we work with. It is like teaching in a broom cupboard. Such a worthwhile school.

The first year GOTM partnered with Bandari we had the pleasure of working with these kids who were in Year 1 (see photo). This week I had to say goodbye to them as they are Year 7 and are moving on so it will be the last time I see them. It really was with a heavy heart and lots of tears saying our farewells. We started the day together with mindfulness, gratitudes and discussed the importance of being kind, truthful and courageous above all else. I will miss you my rafikis and I thank you for bringing so much joy in to my life.

A fab day of creative activities at Bandari

The international School of Toulouse gals have been working hard with Gecko on the Move at the Bandari Project, from distributing shoes, socks, chupis, sports equipment, art supplies, stationary, and creating mandalas, a mud kitchen, veggie gardens and a music area. They have spent the last 10 days doing their own projects but also working with the sewing ladies, in the kitchen, in classes, organising resources and even with the animals - rounding up the cows and cleaning their areas. I think that was their least favourite job!

With deep sadness, GOTM announces the unexpected passing of Murray Jackson, the visionary founder and director of Edx Education. Murray wholeheartedly supported Gecko on the Move, providing us with essential math manipulatives for teaching in resource-constrained primary schools. His pivotal role was instrumental in our success, and we couldn't have achieved what we have without him. Our heartfelt condolences and love go out to his family. Murray's legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched through education.

Last year,Murray had the honor of being filmed for Taiwanese TV, much like the BBC, discussing Edx Education's impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. From mobile kindergartens and learning centers to whale conservation, research, support for Taiwan's aboriginal communities, and contributing to global education, Edx has left a significant mark. Unfortunately, Murray passed away , never having the chance to see the broadcast. However, the program was launched yesterday, showcasing his dedication and the meaningful work of Edx.
