Famous Indians > Srinivas Ramanujan

An inspiration for all of us - Self taught mathematical genius, Ramanujan's brilliance is being confirmed today more than 100 years after his original writings. His work was often intuitive and lacked formal basis and he attributed his insights to divine inspiration. Much of the modern thinking around string theory is resting on his insights.
