Reception class school trip with a themed afternoon tea! 🫖🧁❤️

Special Mention children and dojo winners, well done everyone! 🏆

What to do if there is a fire has become second nature to us all, because we have had regular drills throughout the year- we can follow procedures, listen to instructions and most importantly keep calm. We proved this today when unfortunately the fire alarm was accidentally triggered. Well done everyone! 🚒 👏👏 Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service Barrow Fire Station Ulverston Blue Light Hub

Year 3 remembered D Day in their Outdoor Learning session. 📻
They used the names of the landing beaches in a warm up game, before learning how to light fires safely 🔥 building shelters and making parachutes.
After that they set orienteering routes for their friends to find poppies, before finally making coat stretchers to carry injured soldiers ⛑️🌺 🗺️
A day to remember.

“On the beaches of Normandy, on the seas beyond and in the skies overhead, our armed forces carried out their duty with a humbling sense of resolve and determination, qualities so characteristic of that remarkable wartime generation. Very many of them never came home, they lost their lives on the D-Day landing grounds or in the many battles that followed. It is with the most profound sense of gratitude that we remember them and all those who served at that critical time”
