Message from Mrs Curry

Dear Parents and the Kenton Community,

Thank you so much to the kind volunteers who gave up their time to support the big tidy up at Kenton School today. We have been very productive and cleared the library, most of the hall and some office space. We have the Loss Adjuster with us in the morning to assess the damage, so considering this, we are asking that parents and volunteers don’t attend in the morning to help, until we know what we can now do moving forwards.

There is still work to do, and we will need some help, either tomorrow afternoon or in the days to come, so please keep an eye on emails and social media messages. I know that many of you who were unable to help today have offered your time, so we will keep you posted. Even though the last few days have been very challenging, the kindness and support of the Kenton community has been overwhelming.

Thank you.

Lorraine Curry

Message from Mrs Curry & Mrs Pattison.

Dear Members of the community

Thank you so much for all your kind offers of help after the flooding in Kenton . If anyone has some spare time this afternoon or tomorrow our team need to clear the school of damaged items, log what has been lost and do our best to save what we can.

The environment is not ideal, and you would need to wear full PPE, which we can provide. If you can help that would be wonderful, but please be aware that the conditions are poor, it is very dirty and it would be at your own risk.

Please do not volunteer if you have any respiratory/health issues and children must not come on site.

Thank you in advance if you can help.

Following the flooding at the school we’ve had many kind offers of help. Please wait for the school to be checked before going in. A message will be sent out if volunteers are needed.

Thanks again…good luck with home school!

Due to a flash flood this afternoon our school has sadly flooded and will be closed tomorrow.

Mrs Curry has been on site to assess the situation and Mrs Pattinson will be sending an email out to all parents and carers shortly to advise what remote learning arrangements will be put in place.

Please can you check your inbox today and make the necessary arrangements where you can.

Hope everyone stays safe.
