The UK is one of the most nature depleted countries in the world, with only about half of our biodiversity left. 😢

Wildflower meadows provide special habitats for biodiversity to bloom. However in the UK we have lost 97% of our wild flower meadows since the 1930s, making them one of our rarest habitats.

This is why it is so important that we work to protect our wildflower meadows!!! 🐞🐜🦋🐝

SGCT manage 8 wildflower meadows in the Gorge with the help of a flock of Soay sheep, volunteers, and our wonderful contractors.
Ecological surveys have shown a biodiversity increase in these meadows. 🌸🌾🌼

The Bolthole Christmas Advent Calendar: Meet the Makers

We absolutely love the iconic work of Caris Jackson Artist, a mixed media collage artist with a flamboyant and playful style.

Reimagining vintage prints using collaged images sourced from magazines from the fifties to seventies, Caris is inspired by the kitsch and colourful nostalgia of mid-century advertising, classic stage and screen glamour, fairground signage and iconography.

A self-confessed workaholic, when she’s not creating art work, running workshops and being fabulous in the art world, she’s busy being creative renovating her house and doing DIY.

12/12/2021

I am sharing a project I have been involved with recently in partnership with Telford Citizens Advice Bureau.
After learning about Loan Sharks, pupils from local schools designed information posters warning of the dangers of Loan Sharks and the risks they pose to vulnerable people, particularly at this time of year.
I worked with the winning designs to finalise this image which is now being displayed on digital signage, flyers and posters across the town.
I hope it makes a difference and assists people in knowing where to get help if they have been targeted by these appalling individuals.
