Learning is about more than parroting subject information to pass exams; it is about developing the skills and engagement to thrive in reality. Our Study Coaching programme goes beyond simple subject tuition and aims to provide fully-rounded “pathways” to suit the student’s interests and aspirations.

Study Coaching includes:

A personal consultant trained to diagnose the student’s skills and interests
Expert support in a subject “pathway” e.g. STEM or Humanities
Intensive study skills support
Regular external work. including reports, grading and mock papers
Up-to-date advice and guidance on current trends in education and the world of work; to help plan for the future!

It is not new or groundbreaking to suggest that skills are important and that they are shared between subjects; it should be obvious to most. However, it is becoming increasingly clear that in the age of single subjects and “conveyor belt” style fact absorption that these background skills are increasingly neglected.

Employers are not quiet about how many young workers lack polished skills after school, and the reason for this is that their active development has been sidelined. However, as shown in the diagram below, these skills are vital in strengthening not just one subject, but multiple.

We can group these skill and subject masses into pathways or “hives” with each hive representing a complete body of knowledge that students can rely upon in the future. A hive equips students with the “soft skills” and forms basis of a successful and targeted career.

Our tutors focus on the entire hive when teaching subjects, which provides exponentially higher benefits than tutoring subjects in isolation.
