Keeping you all in the loop - Following government advice and guidelines we will NOT be opening S.P.A at the beginning of September along with Schools.
We are going to reassess this decision towards the end of the month.
We apologise if this causes any inconvenience or upset but we have to put the safety of our students and staff first!

We really miss you all and wish you all a fun start back to the school year. Please do keep in touch guys and keep your eyes on social for further updates regarding your lessons!

It may not be script writing but it will certainly help you get those creative juices flowing! :-)

Calling all small JK Rowlings, diddy Roald Dahls and mini David Walliams. Why not put your superb writing talent to the test and enter our 'Story writing' competition?
Create your own story, themed and inspired by the iconic Victorian period (1837-1901). Just make sure your creation does not exceed 500 words. Oh and there will be bonus points for illustrations! 👍

“We’d like each writer to use the Victorians, or even Blists Hill Victorian Town, as the inspiration for their story. Investigate amazing Victorians, imagine what life would have been like over 100 years ago, and invent marvellous adventures. Whether it be detectives or time travellers, robots or explorers we can’t wait to meet your characters and read your stories." - Gillian Crumpton, our Collections & Learning Director.

The winning stories will be recorded as a ‘book at bedtime’ and they, along with a selection of the best of the rest, will be added to an e-book which will be published on our website and social media.

Despite what was said by us earlier it is with great sadness that due to the announcements made by the Prime Minister tonight and the recommendations made from Gavin Williamson, as a school we have made the difficult decision to close until further notice.

We had made the decision that we would continue to run the school in line with other educational establishments within the country. The safety and well-being of the students is the number one priority and so we feel it is the correct decision at this time.

We would both like to say firstly how much we have enjoyed working with all the boys and girls over the past few weeks and feel very lucky to have had this opportunity. We would like to pass on all our very best wishes to you and hope you all stay safe, well and stick together in these uncertain times.

We will be using our Social Platforms to engage with our students over the coming days/weeks. We will be popping many a home opportunity online for you guys to be getting on with!!! 👍🏻

Please do spread the word for us guys. Look after one another!!!!

COVID - 19.

Our thoughts regarding our Performance Academy are to REMAIN OPEN until the Government closes schools. Children are currently mixing with one another at School during the day. We see no difference in the mixing at SPA of an evening.
However, as parents it is your individual choice to allow your child to attend or not based on your circumstance at home and individual preference.

This is a testing time and often children need the stability of consistency. With this in mind, we will remain OPEN until further notice!

Did you know?

One of our greatest tools as a performer is our body.

We can use our body to create a range of things from characters to objects, emotions to feelings. Our body is limitless where performance is concerned.
Here at Shifnal Performance Academy our students have been focussing on their greatest tool. They have been using their bodies to create not only characters but props also. We even had one student become a surf board! Hey, if they as performers believe it - Us as the audience believe it!
