Rear view, trench road. Lots of parked cars parked up that need negotiating. This means when we are moving past these we need to use the other side of the road. Mirrors, potentially a signal and maneuver.

Approach to Red house roundabout from Telford. Plenty of opportunities to overtake on the bypass but we got this. How to scare the life out of a learner z

Road safety course or 3 points on its way, surely it wasn’t worth rushing past us only to get caught up at the next set of lights.

That escalated quickly. Luckily this person did not cause a rear end shunt. A: Know the dimensions of your car. B: When emerging do so slowly and carefully.

Door mirrors are convex so objects and vehicles may appear further away than the actually are.
On a dual carriageway lesson I always a reminder of this and teach the following. First check the centre mirror when you have passed the slower moving vehicle so you know it’s exact position, then follows and left mirror and blindspot check.
This was closer than the camera shows and the driver was made aware of our presence.
