We’re back 👋 At our first East Oxford Parent Power group meeting of the new school year we reconnected, heard from an inspiring Student Ambassador at Oxford Brookes University who grew up in Rose Hill, and brainstormed options for organising affordable tutoring, extracurricular activities, and more!

You'll also have the opportunity to hear more about and sign your family up to attend our upcoming trip to Trinity College, Oxford 🎓

It was brilliant to have so many parents and their young people leading change and having their say on what they want to see from a university visit during our third East Oxford Parent Power meeting 🙌💛
Knowledge is power, but it can be difficult knowing where to start when it comes to university...so we had an information session by Javier from Oxford Brookes University on the huge array of university courses available - spoiler, there are over 50,000 different undergraduate courses in the UK alone! 🎓
Next steps, finish planning our first bespoke university visit designed by East Oxford Parent Power members, have relational 1-1 conversations about how we can remove barriers to higher education in East Oxford, continue to grow our community, and create more power for change! 💫
