SO full of excitement for the revision phase ahead and Team AA that is forming!
MORE questions
MORE feedback
MORE accountability
If you didn't get what you wanted today from these results, be kind to yourself right now. It is rubbish. I have been there. Reflection is needed and then a successful plan can form ๐ช๐ป

If AA is next for you and March exams are your Plan A, time is running out... โ
I have 2 spaces left on my Platinum Course for March 23 โ
Revision + is open with more spaces but will be kept as a small cohort to ensure maximum attention is given to my students ๐ฅณ
June is open for bookings for those looking to prepare for this exam over a longer period โก๏ธ

If you are like me, you will be waking up about now to the realisation that 2023 is here are ready to go! ๐ง
Coming back from the BIG Christmas break was hard. A mix of 2022 in general, lots of fun family time and the coughing virus from hell left energy levels low. I am now back at last! ๐ฅณ
Team ACCA, a timely reminder....
๐ก
There are about 3-4 weeks left before you should have completed syllabus content and be gearing up for revision.
๐ก
31st January is the deadline for March 23 exam entry. Are you leaving your booking until then or are you committing early!
๐ก
Many of you will be making the big decision this week - do you have time to prepare properly for March exams or is June looking more realistic?
Good luck for week 1. If we start right, we end right ๐ช๐ปโญ
Stress free can still be productive right?
This week I am kicking off my March 23 cohort with a message to P.L.A.N. โญ
Why so soon? March is ages away!
๐ก Not quite and here is why...
๐๐ป 12 weeks until March 23 exam week
๐๐ป 7 weeks until my revision course starts
๐๐ป Most will lose 1-2 weeks of study and more importantly stamina over Christmas and New Year
You don't have to be stressed about exams right now but you DO need to realistically decide on a workable study plan.
Ticking off a few sessions before Christmas will enable you to feel better prepared and 2023 will start much nicer ๐คฉ๐ฅณ

The penultimate weekend is...
โจMock Weekendโจ ๐ฅณ
My very own Team AA are completing their final mock this weekend. It is a chance to shine and show what they know and what they have learnt over the past few weeks
๐ฒ The stabilisers were off ages ago!
There have been multiple timed questions for weeks (with feedback) using the ACCA Practice Platform.
๐ชThat layer of protection covers them from serious harm!
Techniques have been covered, the syllabus has been reviewed and timed practice has happened. Confidence is growing. Moving away from the 50% in the right direction is the aim ๐๐ป
They are ready ๐คฉ
This one is always ready๐คฉ
Hope you are too ๐ค๐ป
Does this look familiar to you?
If you are preparing for your December ACCA exams I really hope so !
This is the 'Catalogue' area on the right hand side of the ACCA Practice Platform. AND It has a new addition!
โจThe AA Pre-December 2022 Mock Examโจ
๐๐ป This is new mock material, only available on the Practice Platform for this sitting only!
๐๐ป Additional material to help YOU prepare for your exams
๐๐ป It is not timed so some self-discipline is going to be needed so you use it wisely
๐๐ป Answers are available when you complete the mock and review in the 'Mark' tab
๐๐ป Debrief recordings have been prepared and are available on the ACCA Student You Tube channel (link in the comments)
There is a mock for each exam so go take a look ๐
Is anyone going to use this as mock practice this weekend? Perfect time to attempt it ๐คฉ๐ค๐ป
Happy 2 years to me โจ
This week marks 2 years since I launched my courses on the FME Learn Online Platform ๐ฅณ๐คฉ
It has been a monumental time, both professionally and personally. Reflecting over the past 2 years, myself and FME have grown to be the ACCA Platinum Provider that we deserve to be. We work hard to give you the best chance of passing. We have created, flexible, high quality resources and plans that work!
I am very proud of what we have achieved as a team as well as individual tutors. Here's to many more years of exam success stories, personal growth and WhatsApp groups ๐๐ป
Confidence restored...my favourite task!
Here, we also added some strength to continue with this ACCA exam process and another student is back on track ๐คฉ
I am just as happy for my students as they are for themselves. A solid plan, great materials and some determination from me AND them are ingredients which create a master bake ๐
If AA is next or if it has been giving you a soggy bottom, I am here for a chat ๐๐ป
Passing exams is the goal...and we all love to score don't we โฝ
Getting through your ACCA exams is a team effort. You need good resources. You also need commitment and dedication to YOUR end goal.
Good things happen when we all work together๐
My Platinum Package courses are now CLOSED for Decemberโ
There are a few spaces remaining for my Revision + course which offically begins next weekโ
My Mock Service has spaces available โ
March 23 is open and ready to go ๐ฅณ

Results week ๐ฎโ๐จ
Some of you may be needing one of these this week ๐ค
Results day is always a mix of highs and lows and I am there for the good and the bad, for all of my students, and those who have connected with me.
There has been much celebration over the past couple of days but I wanted to reach out to those not really feeling the happy vibe.
ACCA is tough to pass. It needs to be. Members are expected to uphold the skills and reputation needed for this profession. There is alot to learn. Not just from the books BUT also from yourself.
How can you pass...
๐ก Have a pre-planned study timetable and stick to it
๐ก Complete the work on time and get feedback
๐ก Ask questions and learn from the answers
๐ก Stay exam focussed. Read less, practice more
My students will all agree with me on this. There is a way out of disappointment and today is DAY 1 of your revised plan ๐ช๐ป
So here is a ๐ค for you. What are you going to do to get back on track?
Itโs Friday ๐ฅณ AND World Smile Day ๐
Me and my gang are not short of a smile or 2 and there is nothing better than helping to put a smile on the face of others to give you that feel good vibe!
Even Maggie, my pawssistant is joining in today as she spends some time in her happy place near our home.
Happy Friday everyone. Keep those smiles going today ๐โฉ๐๐ป
Practice makes progress ๐คฉ
For every unsuccessful attempt, there is an opportunity to learn. Next time will be better if we take lessons from the bad as well as the good!
Question practice ๐ก
Even better, marked question practice, is a learning process. I see the improvements in the quality of the answers I mark every week. It is a good feeling...for me and my students!
This week, lots of my students have been handing in their audit risk questions for marking. There have been lots of messages saying how tricky those audit responses to risks are.
Each of my students has had bespoke feedback. Tips on what they can do to recall ideas and feel more confident when faced with a scenario.
Each student did better than they thought they would! ๐๐ป๐คฉ
What can practice do?
โSpeed up your responses
โFine tune language used. Less words, more marks
โBuild confidence
โProgress to success
Are you leaving question practice to revision? Please start now! ๐๐๐ป
We are on the home straight!
What is left on your to do list this week?
With the AA exam is 6 days time, this is what is left for my students...
๐ก Reviewing feedback from their final mock attempted this weekend
๐ก The mock exam debrief with me and some last minute tips
๐ก Review of any remaining questions on the planner that have not yet been attempted
๐ก Regular, consistent review of revision notes/mind maps to keep that knowledge fresh
๐ก Some strategic planning for next week. Plan route to centre, timings, what to bring, what section to attempt first etc.
This week will go quick, so make it as productive as possible as we hurtle towards that final weekend!
What is your biggest exam fear?
What are you most scared of?
๐ก Not knowing how to answer the questions?
๐ก Running out of time and not finishing?
Every fear can be conquered with time, patience and, in turn, growth in confidence!
We have 12 days. Doing something every day from now until the exam WILL make a huge difference to your confidence and your ability on exam day.
For AA you will see that exam practice WILL help you become more familiar with the terminology, structure and often content of exam questions ๐ก
Todays tip is all about speed โฉ๐จ
If you are someone who needs more time to think in the exam, use shortcuts to quickly get content into your answer.
๐๐ป Copy/paste the 'identify' from the scenario into your answer.
This is faster than typing and naturally creates a plan for those application questions. You must use the scenario so why not use it literally!
๐๐ป Use the correct terminology.
Using key terms helps you get to the point faster. If you say you are going to 'check' something, you then need to explain what it means to check! If you say you are 'inspecting' then you are done. Less words. More time to think ๐ค
Prepare thoroughly
Practice lots
Perform better
2 weeks until ACCA exam week ๐จ
AA and AAA kick off that week and so it is time to start talking about exam tips for audit ๐ก
๐๐ป Tip No. 1 - Add some weight to your points
We see valuable marks lost in every exam sitting as a result of 'fluffy cloud' answers. While many points are made, they are often missing a vital ingredient...explanations!
To score in AA, you cannot be vague and you must show off. State the obvious. Tell the marker WHY you have included your point.
For example
๐ฅ Audit risk answer -
This is the first time auditing the client
Lifting something from the scenario is not enough. You need to show them why this is an audit risk. Tell them that this increases detection risk but also tell them what that means! Tell them that the audit team may lack understanding of the client systems and not spot misstatements.
๐ฅ Audit procedures answer -
Inspect a sample of invoices to confirm accuracy
While this is a worthy attempt, it misses the instruction. I can visualise an audit junior looking at the invoices and thinking 'ok, I am inspecting but what am I supposed to do now?'
Tell them more - recalculate the total to agree to the ledger, or, agree the amounts to the original order and GDN. Give them that further instruction!
It is time to add some weight to answers - practice now!
Some carefully chosen extra words make all the difference and can turn a mediocre borderline answer into a great one ๐
Mocks really do matter!
Without the mock, how do you know what to expect on exam day?
I don't just mean syllabus content, mocks help you iron out the practical issues surrounding exams...
๐๐ป What to do when you are running out of time
๐๐ป How to deal with a tricky question and not feel overwhelmed
๐๐ป How to manage the switch from one syllabus area to another and from one question style to another
๐๐ป Which section to attempt first
My mock course opens next week.
It includes:
๐๐ป Preparation material to get you ready for the exam
๐๐ป Recommended questions to attempt
๐๐ป A full exam standard mock set to attempt on the ACCA Practice Platform
๐๐ป Marked with feedback and a debrief of the exam
๐๐ป WhatsApp support

Some of us struggle to visualise on a goal and create an action plan that helps us succeed. For others, it is a natural process. Which camp are you in?
I have 3 children ๐ฉ๐ป๐ง๐ผ๐ง๐ผ
โ๏ธ 1 has their eye on the prize and can plan ahead
โ๏ธ 1 has their eye on the prize but needs help getting there
โ๏ธ 1 doesnโt realise there is a prize and is quite happy up in the clouds ๐
If you want to succeed, take the tools you need (how ever many that is) and keep going.
For me, this is a natural process and that is why I love supporting others to build their study plan properly.
My students have had a week of exam practice and feedback from me. The tool bag is full, ready to step towards success a little more.
Keep going ๐ก

August is here and itโs time to revise! 5 weeks to prepare for the September exams but what does that actually mean?
Reading your notes again? NOT if you want to pass AA or any other ACCA exams!
Time to embrace your fear of those tricky requirements and face them head on! Disciplined question practice is critical NOW. Go on vacation from your comfort zone and progress in this EPIC month!
My platinum and revision courses are now CLOSED for September. My students have officially started revision today ๐คฉ
If you want me to support you this sitting I only have my mock course with some spaces remaining. This opens in 2 weeks so get in touch if you need some AA help!

ACCA exam results week can give you those wonderful highs and then, for some of us, those terrible lows. For those of you experiencing the lows this week, your 2 day sulking limit is up and its time to make a plan ๐คฉ๐ฅ
We all face disappointment. It is what we do with it that counts NOW. Time to plan your next move....
๐ก Have you got enough time to revise for September or do you go for the December sitting?
๐ก Do you sit it with your next paper that you have already started or shelve one of them?
๐ก Are you going to change the way you approached the exam or mix up your learning?
๐ก Are you going to let it beat you?
These questions are important to consider this week. Confidence is king during the ACCA process and you need to ensure the plan you have is solid.
Lessons are useful, but only if you are listening! From someone who has been in your shoes, fallen, dusted myself down and kept on marching, I know you can do this! ๐๐ป
June 22 exam results are in.....๐ฅ
Lots of happy messages and a day filled with lots of calls and messages to discuss next steps!
If you were not successful for AA this time or currently studying and looking for support for the September exam, get in touch as I have some spaces on my RPM and Mock courses. ๐คฉ
If you are looking further ahead, December courses are now open. ๐ฅ

Today will be all about clock watchingโฆI know, Iโve been there ๐
Whatever the outcome of your ACCA results tomorrow, remember there are tutors, like me and my colleagues at FME Learn Online ready to discuss options and advise on next steps.
Wishing you all the best of luck with your results ๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ป๐
With 9 weeks to go, how much longer will you risk waiting before you start studying for the September exams?
I have never been very good at waiting....especially if it is not for a good reason. If results are your reason and June exams do not go your way, you can always move your course to the following sitting.
Revision starts in 4 weeks. Now is the time to start! ๐ก
Boom ๐ฅ I am happy with that!
Who better to get feedback from, than those wonderful students that experience your courses ๐คฉ
I love getting feedback and take ALL of it on board. Every day is a learning day and so I am really happy that my students have a good experience when studying AA with me.
Today is a planning day. Quality Control is important, not just in the audit syllabus but also in ensuring that I keep future students happy and really prepared for their AA exam โฃ๏ธ

10 years ago I left my beautiful job at Kaplan, away from the security of employment and all of my friends ๐ซฃ
It was not an easy decision. I worked with the best team of people. But my life had changed so much that to stay would not have been right for me or my family.
10 years have passed by, but in that timeโฆ

Don't shoot the messenger but...12 weeks until the September exams - ACCA exams are a constant countdown aren't they ๐
Time to plan your next move. What subject is next on your hit list?
If it is AA, then my courses are open for September and December.
Spaces are filling fast for September and I am impressed with how many students are planning their resources to ensure they get the support they need.
What can I do to help?
I provide:
๐๐ป On Demand recorded lectures
๐๐ป Study notes
๐๐ป Marked homework
๐๐ป Progress tests and mocks
๐๐ป A virtual cohort group to share ideas
๐๐ป WhatsApp support
If you want me to help you, please get in contact early to avoid disappointment.
On the eve of exam week, from me to you, wishing you lots of luck for this weeks ACCA exams ๐๐ค๐ปโบ๏ธ
Keep one eye on the clock
Read that question twice
Do not leave anything blank
Good luck ๐๐ป๐๐ซ
6 whole days until the ACCA exam week begins. How are you feeling?
๐กPerhaps it was a tough weekend practising mocks or individual exam questions?
๐กOr did you not get to do much study and are feeling a little unprepared?
Have you ever got to the end of a week and thought 'wow, a lot happened and I can't believe how different things are now!'?
There is still LOTS of time...it is what you do with that time that really counts. Push through the fear or fatigue and then look back. The view will be worth it ๐คฉ
Sitting your ACCA exams and opting for the Remote Invigilation option?
You are not alone! There has been a big uptake with many of you seeing the convenience of sitting exams this way.
If you are taking this option, make sure you are remote ready! There are 10 days to go, so make sure you have run through the 'what you need to know' page on the ACCA website.
