Here is the first of a series of my Top Tips to help parents and carers of children with autism. As a mum of a daughter with Autism as well as a teacher and consultant, I know how confusing some terminologies related to the condition can be.

These Top Tips posts will seek to explain and simplify some of this terminology and jargon as well as offering practical, helpful advice for parents and teachers. My posts will cover a variety of topics relating to the spectrum which I hope will be useful and helpful to anyone caring for a child with autism.
