✨Today, our Year 3 and 4 pupils enjoyed a visit to Vauxhall City Farm and had the opportunity to explore the farm and met some of the animals, including alpacas, goats, pigs and more!
They also took part in the “Land to Lunchbox” education session and found out more about how the food we eat is produced.
They were very lucky with the beautiful weather too☀️

✨Year 6 have spent today at Sandown racecourse 🐎 an amazing day to end the first week of the Academic Year and the weather was perfect!
They spent their time getting an insight into weights and measures, and how the Maths they are learning in school is applied in a more practical environment in the outside world.
Here is a special report from Year 6:
“The best part of today was watching two races and being able to see the horses up close. We were given a race programme and we chose our favourite horses by the colour of the jockey’s jacket. We also got to try the jackets on ourselves and that was really fun. We measured the perimeter of the parade circle and we learnt how jockeys are weighed before and after the race, and that female horses carry lighter jockeys. We would definitely recommend a visit to the races”!

✨The children planted potatoes in May as one of our activities during eco club and were very proud to share the success of their harvest 🥔 when they returned.
They will be given to the chefs 🧑🍳 at our school and I am sure they will create an amazing dish for the children to enjoy😋

✨The new Academic Year has started and our Yr5 have already enjoyed a trip to 🍕 The first of many exciting trips planned.
As part of our learning this term, our theme is ‘Farm to Fork”. During the visit, the children have learnt more about the production processes of food and had the opportunity to make their own pizza.
They enjoyed eating their pizzas back at school and handing empty boxes to their parents 😋at the end of the day 🍕🍕

✨Well done to one of our Yr6 children for his amazing, kind and selfless idea. He created a comic to sell in aid of charity and raised £2,000 🙌🙌🙌
He presented the charity with his own homemade cheque and also given a tour.
He remembered so much of what he learned when he had visited with Mrs Piper, Headmistress.
Well done and all the best in your next adventure. We can’t wait to see your continued success as you move to the Senior school 👏👏👏

✨Our first Sports Day at Radnor House Prep School was a resounding success.
Being held a stones throw away from Pope’s villa, at St Marys University, the children clearly got the memo that they were running on Sir Mo Farahs track!
The children participated and competed magnificently, displaying great sportsmanship and enthusiasm. Parents were a fantastic audience, cheering on the students and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere.
Overall, it was a fabulous event that brought the school community together. Parents and children are already looking forward to the next sports day 🙌🙌

✨The Year 1 & 2s have watched their class butterflies 🦋 develop from caterpillars 🐛 into a chrysalis and now into fully grown butterflies 🦋.
It has been wonderful to see the children so engrossed in their development and fantastic to hear their inquisitive minds wondering what will happen next!
They’ve taken such great care of them, making sure there is fresh flowers and food to eat. It was a sad goodbye, but we wish them all the best as they fly out into the big world! 🌍

✨Year 3 and 4 have had an amazing time at their residential trip. It is a first time away from home for many of these pupils and then, on top of that, they have faced all sorts of other new and exciting challenges 🙌🙌
They have all made the most of every minute and been great ambassadors for the school. We can’t wait to hear their stories😊😊
✨Year 5 and 6 are now getting to the end of their collage work and what an amazing job they have done🙌🙌
They have followed the work of Elizabeth St Hilaire, an American artist known for her amazing animal collage. She paints the animal first then collage over it partially or completely and the children have imitated her incredibly well✨

✨The school choir has the pleasure to perform at the Cambrian Centre to elderly people from the local area. This is a monthly event organised by the Good Neighbours Charity, a brilliant charity who support the elderly in the local area. The event was one of their monthly coffee mornings.
The choir sang five popular music songs from ‘Blackbird’ by The Beatles to ‘This is Me’ from The Greatest Showman! We also had four beautiful duets sung by members of the choir.
We received many thanks and compliments for both their performance and their behaviour. 🙌🙌

✨We welcomed families to our Open Morning on Saturday and met the children ducklings 🐥 and have been a big success 🙌🙌
Unfortunately Mother Nature was not on our side when all five hatched almost in the minute they arrived - they are very cute but we had hoped for a little more anticipation!

✨Year 6 spent an enjoyable and informative afternoon doing the Junior Citizenship course at Holly Lodge, Richmond Park on Friday.
The course included visiting 10 different scenarios staged by the Police 👮 , Fire 🔥 and Ambulance 🚑 services, as well as London Transport and the NHS.
There was also an opportunity to refresh their memories on water 💧 and road 🛣️ safety.
The children were advised how to handle various emergency situations and some of them got to practise ringing 999!
Hopefully, all learning the importance of knowing their postcode 👏

✨What a wonderful production of Bugsy Malone ✨
We definitely have a talented group of Radnor House pupils are🙌🙌
Both performances were excellent and enjoyed by a large and supportive audience.
It was very ambitious to put on a full production in our first year but, under the expert guidance of Mrs Carr and Mrs Phillip-Keane, the cast and crew did not let us down.
The children made us very proud 🎭 😊💃🌟
✨We held a Grandparents day at earlier this week and welcomed over 85 grandparents to our school.
They were treated to a choir, tea ☕️ and delicious homemade cakes 🍰 made by our amazing chefs.
The children were proud and excited to show off their school and work to their grandparents and participate in activities.
Such a pleasure to see how happy the children and grandparents were and making such beautiful memories ☺️
✨Fabulous entry to the Fourth Plinth competition by our amazing pupil, Eva on International Women’s Day🙌🙌
