πŸ’•The End of an Era πŸ’•
This week we celebrated the retirement of Mrs Haines. She has worked across the two school sites for an astonishing 34 years. She has worked with generations of children over the years.
The KS1 building organised a β€˜Clap for Mrs Haines’ as she left for the final time on Friday.
We are sad to see you go Mrs Haines but wish you all the best and a happy retirement!

Over the last couple of weeks, Miss Thorpe’s English group have been working extremely hard to create an immersive and engaging setting description in first person. Using a well-known novel (Treasure Island) as their stimulus, the class were inspired to describe the island, specifically focusing on expanded noun phrases and figurative language. Yesterday, utilising the magic of our green screen, the imagination of the pupils was brought to life when some confident, hard - working pupils volunteered to share their work with you all! βš‘οΈβ˜”οΈπŸŒŠ

6Sapphire have taken time to reflect on their mental wellbeing, creating positive thought jars and bunting which help to focus their minds on celebrating the little wins as well as the big successes. To develop their positive mindsets further, many pupils decided to attach their positive messages to their lockers as a daily reminder of how fantastic they are and what they can achieve!

As we gear up for another insightful Parents' Evening, we're excited to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you.

We have an additional treat in store for you on Wednesday evening for parents as representatives from Q3 Academy, our esteemed secondary school, will be joining us in the UKS2 hall to engage in a dialogue about the transition to secondary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to gain valuable insights and have your questions answered directly by professionals who specialise in easing this transition for students and parents alike.

Additionally, this opportunity offers you the chance to ask any burning questions you may have about the transition process in its self. Whether you're curious about extracurricular options, pastoral care, or anything in between, the representatives from Q3 Academy are here to address your concerns and provide guidance every step of the way.

We look forward to seeing you all here on Wednesday evening.

Well done to 2Blue, 2Red and 6Sapphire who have all started the week off with 100% attendance!

Well done to everyone working hard to get into school each day this week.

The countdown to Friday's assemblies is on... who will our attendance winners be?

Remember, we recognise a range of attendance awards in these assemblies, not only 100%.

A reminder that the Scholastic Book Fair is in school again this week. Come along after school to the KS1 library or KS2 studio. The Book Fair will also be open at both Parents Evenings. Remember, you can use your World Book Day tokens here! Payment is by cash or online through the displayed QR code.
