Positive intention of a symptom
I believe treating the client not just their symptoms is essential for any credible therapist. How often a client’s symptom is partially or wholly a physical representation of the need for a lifestyle change or a sign of underlying issues that needs resolving. On the Lifeskills and Hypnotherapy courses I run I make sure trainees understand the need to take time to talk and listen to their clients aggressively not just hear the words. They learn that they cannot just read a script at a client to reduce the symptoms. Sometimes the best friend a client has is the symptom they come with.

Happy New Year and after first day back I am happy to say we nearly have a fully booked Feb Cert course just down to the final 2 places. Thank you for responses and please register as soon as possible if you would like to join us.

Really happy that my latest 5 trainees passed their Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy last week, with flying colours. Now looking forward to my new October intake joining me to start the MCCH Certificate Course. Sorry that I could not accommodate everyone who made enquiries for the last course, but I restrict the class sizes to no more than 5 trainees which allows for plenty of practical experience of doing hypnotherapy, not just learning the words.
