Well done Harvey for your amazing song! Thank you for being brave enough to record and share it and well done for getting onto the Radio Oxford site.
10-year-old Harvey sent us his cover of a classic John Devner song for the nhs.uk, what a voice! ❤️

Wassail - CAROLS OF COMFORT AND JOY
Singing workshop and performance
Thame Chamber Choir and TCC2 Thame Children’s Choir will be performing “Wassail!”, by renowned composer and former Lord Williams’s School student Alexander L’Estrange, at its Christmas Children’s Concert on the afternoon of Saturday 21st December 2019.
OPEN WORKSHOP
Before the concert we are having a workshop, led by Alexander, and we would like to invite as many children – and adults - as possible to take part. Children under 18 are free, and there is a £10 charge for adults (includes music hire and a ticket for the afternoon concert). The workshop is at St Mary’s Church, Thame, from 11.45 a.m. until 1.15 p.m. There will then be a break for lunch, followed by a rehearsal with Alexander’s band “Call Me Al” at 2 p.m. and the performance at 4.30 p.m. Statutory safeguarding for children will be in place throughout.
If you would like to join in, or would like more information, please let us know as soon as possible (so that we hire enough music!) by e-mail: [email protected] A talk by Alexander L’Estrange on “Wassail!” can be found on youtube – search “wassail alexander l’estrange”

Thank you to the Wichert choir for including our senior choir in their concert. It made for a very pleasant afternoon.

Apologies - the TCC2 website is down at the moment. It should be up and running again by 23.9.
LOVELY COMMENT FROM A CHOIR MEMBER'S MUM:
"TCC2 gave my children a rare and unique opportunity to sing songs and develop their musical experience in a way that they would not have been able to access anywhere else. They appreciated the high expectations that were expected of them and took pride in the quality of the singing that resulted and the opportunities to perform with Thame Chamber Choir. TCC2 is like no other children's choir that I have ever encountered and it was a privilege for my children to be among the founding members."
Thame Children's Choir commences rehearsals on Sunday 8th Sept at John Hampden school. Training choir 4 - 4:50 and seniors 430 - 6pm. Concert times with be posted when they are confirmed. See you on Sunday!

TCC2 will be singing in a wonderful concert this Saturday 16th March. Tickets on the door at £12 or £10 at The Book House, Thame.
Renaissance genius, Leonardo da Vinci imagined manned flight in the 16th century and left numerous sketches of what a flying machine might look like and how it might work!
TCC will present a musical soundtrack of how he got there, created by American composer Eric Whitacre. It's a sweeping, cinematic piece, so make sure you've read the text before we start.
We are joined by pianist Anna Markland, former BBC Young Musician and Thame Children's Choir for a whole evening of wonderful music.
For 5 more days, you can still get tickets at the advance price of £10, from The Book House, Thame.
