Come along to connect with your baby, yourself and other parents. Breathe in the fresh air, listen to the nature sounds, watch the birds, bees and butterflies and take some time out of the hustle and bustle.

National Homebirth Day

So today is national homebirth day and I thought I'd share one of my favourite photos.

When I look at this photo it brings back so many feelings. I had such an amazing home water birth with Martha and fantastic midwives. I feel so lucky to have experienced a birth like that. It was just so nice to get in to my own bed afterwards and snuggle her and feel so relaxed and happy. I was definitely in a wonderful oxytocin bubble and the oxytocin always comes rushing back when I look at this image.

I get really excited when clients plan a homebirth as I know just how amazing they can be and I always hope that they have a great experience like I did.

My Hypnobirthing skills came into play all the way through from first twinges to catching her in my hands and bringing her out of the water to meet us all. It's hard to believe this is almost 10 years ago but the memories of it are like yesterday!

Don't forget though that Hypnobirthing is for all types of births whether that's one like mine above, to an abdominal birth, induction, the list goes on.

🎉HAPPY WORLD HYPNOBIRTHING DAY🎉 a day late! Oops.


Three babies, all born in different situations but all by using Hypnobirthing techniques and a bit of gas and air! 1 born in Shrewsbury hospital after an ambulance transfer from Wrekin MLU, 1 born in water at home and 1 born in Telford hospital.


It's 12 years now since I discovered Hypnobirthing when I was pregnant with Seth. I knew it was amazing then but I didn't realise then just how much of an impact it would have on my life and that I would be teaching couples just like us 12 years on!


So happy world Hypnobirthing day everyone. Also, those skills still come in useful now for Dentist trips, smear tests, sick children the list goes on. Now more than ever we are needing those calming breaths and relaxation to help us get through this tough time. So please do contact me to have a chat about how I can support you. All my classes are currently virtual but all done live via zoom so very interactive. That connection is so important xx

Spring Baby Massage Workshop

Come and join me for this fabulous workshop to celebrate Spring.

We will do some spring-focused baby massage where you can learn some key strokes to repeat with your baby. Baby massage is such a lovely way to connect with your baby and adding the happy and hopeful spring aspect will just add even more to the wonderful bonding experience.

We will also make some Spring/Easter cards and a spring-themed keepsake for you to take away and keep for yourself or to give to a loved one. Such a great way to capture a special memory.

There will also be an opportunity for a Spring photograph against a backdrop.

Explore some spring-themed sensory stations. These will be different materials and textures, not messy play!

Then to finish, a cuppa and a biscuit or two or three and a chance to chill, chat and connect.

So if your baby is 6 weeks (signed off by the Dr) to crawling age and this sounds like it's for you then book your ticket.

Excellent news.

We are pleased to announce that our Tongue Tie Assessment Clinic is running again following the service being suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The specialist assessment clinic typically sees breastfed babies who have been referred by a health visitor, breast feeding facilitator, doctor or midwife and are suspected to have a tongue tie.

A tongue-tie is where the skin joining a baby’s tongue to the bottom of their mouth is shorter than usual. This can sometimes make it harder for the baby to breastfeed.

Brand New Workshop!

Debbie and I are thrilled to bring you the new Positive Pregnancy Couples' Workshop!

There have been a few enquiries recently about a workshop for couples. So we are bringing you just that. Couples can be you and your partner or you and your birthing partner/support person.

You'll enjoy a relaxing and informative morning. The ideal opportunity to connect with your baby and each other and take some time for you.

I (Lucie) will be teaching you some Hypnobirthing basics including a breathing technique or two and some other vital skills for birth, so lots of tools for your birthy tool kit. Plus a focus on the vital role of birth partners so they don't feel like a spare part during labour.

Then Debbie will lead you through a prenatal yoga practice to help you flow with your breath, connect to your baby and ease away the aches that pregnancy brings. This special practice is suitable for both of you to do together and will include some fun partner poses!

Then we'll finish with a calm and cosy pregnancy guided relaxation and help you release any fears surrounding pregnancy and birth.

You'll also enjoy a cuppa and a yummy treat and a chance to connect with the other couples there too.

Hello from me and my knitted baby!

Tonight was session one with my new clients.

I am always a bit nervous and excited about session one, a bit like most feel about birth! So I do some calm breathing and focus and then enjoy getting to know them. Still using Hypnobirthing skills you see even when the teacher and not the client!

They really are skills for life and we cover so much over the 4 sessions. So you can go from scared and anxious to calm and confident about birth.

Tonight we looked at the science behind the brain and the subconscious, ways to relax, the uterine muscles, fear tension and pain and started looking at the amazing hormones for birth.

Finishing with a gorgeous relaxation which never fails to leave clients feeling super chilled!

If you are due a baby in 2022 then check out my other dates on my previous posts or via my bio or website. It is such a worthwhile investment and worth having a think about whether you can spend a bit less elsewhere to be able to afford a course. I'm always happy to chat about payment plans and price etc too.

It's not just a bit of breathing and relaxation it's a whole lot more and for me the key is being informed so you can make informed decisions, know your choices and options and feel positive about your experience whatever route your birth takes. It's for you if you want a home birth, a hospital birth, a water birth, a give me all the drugs birth, a caesarean and all the inbetweens.

Don't go in to birth with your blinkers on and then come out wishing you'd known more.
